It's a psyop perpetuated by white supremacists. You are only meant to realize it on a subconscious level. Gandalf the Grey is an inferior wizard, prone to smoking the pipe and setting off fireworks. I remember some of my coworkers at the place I was interning at a while back had a whole conversation about it. The Native American and Mexican were up in arms about how racist it was. Especially the Orks with the hand print on their faces which is symbolic of Native Americans.
