OP, Goldberg was older than some people realise by the time he got into wrestling after his football career ended. He was already 33/34 in that video you posted. He was 30 when he made his WCW debut which is old. It’s a miracle he was able to make as much from wrestling as he did since he was long in the tooth when he started.

By the time MMA got popular enough for him to earn decent money from it, he was too old to start. By the time his WCW contract was bought out he was 36. It was due to expire a year later.

I think you’re right though when you say he could have been some fighter in his day. He’s an elite athlete which is why he got to the NFL.

For one the man is already rich and for 2 he is up there in age. Have you ever taken a 100 or more punches to your face and body on a daily basis? Trust me it doesnt feel good.

Its hard enough when you are a young much less old and after all his body has already taken in the nfl and while in wrestling they are not fighting for real those guys take a lot of hard shots and blows all over. I imagine he is not on the best of shape
