You’re right though. Everyone knows that as cars slow things in the car shift backwards and not forward. That’s just basic physics

you may be right, from the video it looks like it would be a yield on green left turn, at which point when it was turning yellow he assumed people coming towards him would be stopping. Looks like he was struck when he was 95% of the way through the intersection

im from ottawa, all lefts in that area are either left turn lights followed by yields or automatically assumed lefts are yields

Actually no, that happens when you accelerate in a fast car, quite the opposite.

thailand is different bro..very slow moving traffic and gas powered bikes have decent pickup.
these electric bikes are dangerously slow in a high speed first world city traffic scenario.

last week some female tv news lady died in NYC on similar ebike.

ebikes are dangerously slow to make any traffic manoeuvre .

Not my story but I guy I had done concrete for told me he watched a kid on a skateboard get hit by a little ford ranger. Since the truck was so low off the ground his arm got caught on the cat and it literally burned his flesh off.

The kid was crying and screaming in pain while the guy I worked for and a bunch of other people stopped and where trying to lift the front end of the truck so they could get him out. Kid was like 12.

He said that **** gave him nightmares for years.

if he ran a red then the car did too

??

seems like the bikebrah was making the left on the yellow and the car was trying to make the light and didnt see the bike. you can tell it was a yellow because the opposite lights turn green a second or so after the impact.

if police find out the driver of the car was going faster than the speed limit in order to make the light on a yellow, then hes going to prison.

i ride cbr1000/ninja636

and i 100% agree... quick agile bike is less dangerous than a scooter/ebike... i been to sticky situtations and got out of em due to quick thinking and quick bike helped alot

I ride a sport bike and everyone wants to talk about how dangerous they are. But when compared to bicycles, ebikes, scooters, cruisers, etc. I feel like it at least has the power and agility to get out of a sticky situation. When you have something with really low speed or that's heavy and slow. Its kind of hard to gas on/swerve to avoid a crash.

I was nearly run off the road last weekend. I'm cruising along, dude approaches the intersection from my left and takes a left turn directly into my lane (Never saw me). Luckily the shoulder was wide enough so no big deal but I literally could have slapped his passenger door window with my palm we were so close.

Maybe. That was a hell of an impact.
