She had several chances to get away.

She shot him after he hit her. It would make much more sense to shot someone before they have the chance to attack you, since you would be able to feel the danger. So really, shes at fault.

Generally speaking, people don't go punching others for no reason. She was not without fault. Many times, there are always exchanges of words to escalate things.

This is where stand your ground laws come into play. Does she have a duty to retreat where she is?

Best defense is always to leave the situation if possible, and she had that opportunity. Or how about just stay in the car with the doors locked if you were supposedly too dazed to drive? It's pretty clear that she literally stopped JUST to draw and wait for the dude to come back. She opened her door and shot immediately when he approached. That's not dazed, that's planned, and murder. Sorry brah.

Thereโ€™s only one article that has any โ€œdetailsโ€ but even then it was written my a legit mouth breather. I thought I read somewhere that it was a female driver, and her boyfriend (passenger) was the one who shot. But I canโ€™t find it, so whatever.

Shooting in the direction of innocent people would probably further reinforce the argument that she was dazed. Does a person thinking clearly do that? Not usually.

Last I heard, the guy isn't even dead. A premeditated murder charge wouldn't fly either.

I agree that stopping and ultimately shooting him was the wrong decision, but I was playing devil's advocate and speaking in terms that I believe her attorney is going to if she ends up being charged.... Also had to correct Tuna who stated that she "literally backed up", which wasn't true.

A few things because I used to live near this Exxon

A) it's a guy driving the car.
B) it's a drug dealer driving the car.
C) drug dealer tried to tell this guys' underage daughter that if she needed drugs he was the guy to ask while the guy who got shot was standing with her in the gas station.
D) dude followed drug dealer to car to confront him, and it got heated leading to a punch in the face.
E) drug dealer pulls forward, stops, re opens his door when he sees man following and shoots him.
F) drug dealer will do time no matter how justified you morons think he is, because there is no way he has a CCW license in Maryland, and it's likely the gun is not registered.

Basically its 2 stupid fuks being stupid.
