It should be said that, if the guy saw the car was stopped and he advanced it's possible that if they didn't stop he likely would've advanced with his vehicle (didn't watch video so unaware). That would be 10x worse and more likely to involve other vehicles.

Not in MD or some other states. I dagree completely with how it's written but MDs law states that in a public place, you do have a duty to retreat if possible. This is what night fuk the shooter over because they start driving off then stop. Guarantee the argument will be they had an opportunity to drive away from the scene, which according to MD law, is what they have to do

Like I said, how do you know there wasn't another problem in the car, stalled, engine failure etc. The driver was punched in the head. How do you know she didn't pass out? There couldve been a multitude of things that could've happened. I doubt one of them was, lets stay and shoot this guy

No, because they're paid to go after the criminal.

Although funny story, here in Colorado, in their rush to pass their anti-police bill, they forgot to put in the language that deadly force can be used in defense of the officer or a third party. Deadly force can only be used to make an arrest when all other means are exhausted. Sept 1, they're putting the missing language back in, but until then, the following scenario is completely plausible:

Woman calls 911 stating her husband is trying to kill her. Cop walks in and sees husband with gun to wife's head and tells husband to drop the gun. Guy says "I will drop the gun and go with you peacefully after I kill her" indicating the officer will not have to use deadly force to arrest him

Right now in Colorado, the officer is not legally allowed to shoot the husband to save the wife's life. I'm ded srs. The democrats were in such a hurry to pass feel good laws, they literally forgot to add that to the deadly force statute (even though it's always been written into the statute that was replaced)
