Pace yourself. Use your jab to find the distance and keep your distance. Have fun and don't talk trash. Honestly getting destroyed is kinda fun IME. I rolled with a pro fighter in a tournament once and it was a lot of fun. It was like having a helmet cam for those highlight reels lol.

I can almost guarantee he will knock you out, but likely you'll be protecting your head and you take a liver shot.
But in general sparring with people who are actively trying to KO you is a bad idea. Especially amateur v pro regardless of weight difference..

OK well let me hit you in the face as hard as I can with an actual pillow and I guarantee you'll be seeing stars.

A true professional is best to spar against because they will know your limits and not just beat you up for the sake of beating you up.
You don't learn anything just trying to survive.
That said, he might be a dick and try to knock your head off. Record it and report back. Good luck.

You are gonna pee blood the day after OP
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Sparring and knocking out dont be long in the same sentence.
If you are getting hurt in training there has been a **** up. Only during the 'performance/comp' should Injury be a factor.
Basically this guy just awants to hurt you OP. Dont let your ego get sucked in to it.

And ye, if he's half-decent he should be able to stop you inside 1 round.

If OP has a full year of training and is that much heavier and stronger than his opponent then I believe he has a puncher's chance. All it would take is one lucky hit. Would be interested in seeing the results.

OP either you are lying or he is full of chit . cause you dont spar to try and knock the other guy out. Your sparring partner is your friend. A training tool to prepare you for fight night and no legit boxing gym is going to allow you to just walk in and get in the ring unless you sign a release and even then most wont do. It
Are you asking if an amatuer boxer can beat a pro? Of course depending on the fighters. So long as you can pass the physical any idiot can be a pro fighter in the books. But that doesnt make you a good boxer/fighte.
Amatuer and pro boxing are scored differently by the judges too. So there is that to consider as well. If and when it happened. You could fight amtuer fo 15 years but the momwnt you get in the ring fighting a pro fight you will have to adjust your style a bit.
