I remember hitting a wall at a certain count, turns out my abs and legs were giving out and needed more strength.
Consider working on those OP if you want your push-ups to feel easier, or to pump up your numbers/set

Have you done any where you're between 2 chairs, and you're feet on a third chair?

High volume push-ups can build a decent upper body. I'd still rather push some iron though.

Same but do pull ups instead of push ups.. 6 sets of weighted pull ups, increase weight when I can do 12 reps for the 6 sets.. Then just do a bunch of regular pull up variations throughout the day.. Feel like that chit works all my upper body pretty much

With gyms being closed I've been doing push ups/pull ups EOD; As many as I can in 15:00.
Start the timer and go back and forth as much as you can.
Push ups: Standard width, Wide, Diamond (in that order, constantly alternating the 3). Also FULL lock out and chest-to-ground push ups, not b!tch-ups.
Pulls I alternate: Chin ups/Pull ups. Again FULL lock scapular lockout and explosive.
Day 1, 15:00 I could only do 133 push ups/51 pull ups.
Day 26, 15:00: 245 push ups/73 pull ups.
Never really worked on muscular endurance before. Usually did pull ups +55 weight belt, chin ups +85 weight belt. But I'm actually enjoying this super fast circuit. And I can definitely see results. My muscles are constantly stimulated. Won't add size but it's definitely defining everything.

Since we all e-statin
I do 9,000 pull-ups a day
I do 9,000 pull-ups a day
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

The way I've been doing it is like this. 25 kettlebell swings, 25 OHP with each arm, 25 squats, 25 sit ups and then 25 pushups. After each cycle I reduce the reps by 1 until I reach 1 rep for each and I do it 3 times a week. At first I could only do 2 cycles before I needed a break and I didn't even have the sit ups in the cycle at that point. Now I can get through the whole thing without sitting down. The biggest change I've noticed in my physique is my arm definition and vascularity. I'm leaner than I was and haven't lost any size
6'2"
OMAD results: 2/15/19-235, 10/13/19-190
OHP-205 Bench- 245 Squat - 405 C&J - 245
2021 Spring cut: 195lbs starting weight

Kudos to you man. The most I did in a day was 300 when I was training for a police academy entrance exam. The exam required us to do 35 in a minute so I wanted to ace it. I did the same thing as you - sets of 50 until I reached the goal. My best practice run was 55 in 60 seconds.
