I wouldn't stress too hard about that. Pretty common for young kids 13-18 to do it where I live. Most typically grow out of it before their 20s.

No children for me but stories like these make me happy my brother in law is a conservative Christian. It's good to know that my my niece and nephew are growing up in a traditional Christian household.

Who can/will provider her with whatever she needs to live, drugs, and dick.

If that's her general attitude towards her father his only real option is to report her as a runaway to the police so when they locate her they can bring her home. However she'll likely just leave again whenever she feels like it. Because there isn't going to be any consequence. Best hope is that whomever is harboring her gets arrested over it. As long as she has a place to go she'll leave again.

Not to be a downer or anything but once a kid gets to that point they are pretty much lost to their parents. You can't keep them chained up inside the house. You can't watch/physically control them all the time. Its pretty much at a stage where she's going to do whatever the hell she wants to, when she wants to.

I've been in law enforcement a long time and have seen a lot of cases like this. Unfortunately I've never saw one where the kid just decided on their own to straighten up and live like a normal teenager under their parents roof. TBH in the cases I'm aware of they typically end up prostitutes/escorts/strippers once they are 18+.
this is too true.

So essentially my long shot hail marry is to try to shock her with this reality. Like try to be nice at first try to create an environment where she might come back (ok ok you win we will stop treating you like a child) and then hope she somehow outgrows this phase and like that poster said, realizes she was a ****.

but if that doesn't work then just start talking to her like the streets. SO what you're gonna start selling pussy to survive now? wouldn't you rather live a nice normal life than become a poverty skank? Youre brainwashed and mentally ill etc... the liberals raped you from us and you're too stupid to realize it, don't you see? they are turingin you against your own family how ****ed up in the head are you? etc. Do you really want to suffer like degenerate skank? why are you being so emo over this its the nature of young people to not realize how dumb they are, let your parents be parents until you fully mature which last till even early 20s. etc.... I dunno she may block before all that

I strongly doubt her friend's parents would stick their neck out and hide a child from their parents or police. She has to be with an adult but it's an adult dumb enough to go to jail for harboring a child
This. I'd have rung the cops as soon as I found out my minor child had run off and was declining to return. Trying to sweet talk her into returning over a period of days is absurd.

No, it actually doesn't... I'm a Nhilist so im not really into religion at all. But imo, children who are raised in a traditional Christian/Conservative family don't end up making these horrible decisions. Does it happen in conservative homes? Of course but to say that it happens less than it would in a liberal home isn't something I'm buying.

This unconditional love for children is bullsht. Kids need to know they are part of the family tribe and if they break certain rules they are out.

For you parents out there, the book "hold on to your kids" explains this perfectly.

https://www.amazon.com/Hold-Your-Kid.../dp/0375760288

If you are not the center of your childs universe, someone else will be. And what happens when that happens? Think about what happens with an unfaithful spouse. What once was love turns into disgust. She doesn't want anything to do with you.

Same goes for your kids. If you let their peers become the center of their universe (real or online), your influence on them weakens.

How to avoid this? Spend as much time with them as you can. Don't be anxious to get your life before kids back. Its gone.

this really just a white trash / ghetto minority thing.

If you raise a kid in a 2 parent upper middle class home, with parents that have a stable marriage, in a nice school district surrounded by tons of positive adult role models and a town community that basically caters to raising kids, this very rarely if ever happens.

The fact that they haven’t called the police and this isn’t on the local news is concerning.

The parents raised her and so her language and behavior is a reflection of them.

Yeah the mom is kinda the reason they got divorced she got obese and had a mid life crisis, she is one of the more uptight liberal types but kinda crazy and ******** washed herself.

She got blocked this morning. Only me and the dad are unblocked, she also has an older sister 17 who is a lot like the mom and kinda opposite and kind of a dorky nerd. (part of the dynamic of her growing up spoiled daddys favorite and the other one is more nerdy moms anxiety type vegan type)

So the mom messed it up by sending her to therapy and saying they are gonna take her to a hospital when she comes back (kind of a lunatic) I almsot want to say the mom was jealous of her. She initially ran away from the overly strict mom to stay with the dad till he got sick of her hustler crap and they were arguing a lot

She is also the one who facilitated her calls to be taken out of private school because she had bad grades and let her go to public school. 1 year later we are here.

would also like to hear the other side of the story. maybe your friend is a SUPER bad dad when you aren't around.....drugs and hookers in the house, very little attention since birth to his daugher, always fighting with mom, yells at the 13 yr old etc.

No. The kid needs a father figure that will discipline her. Teenagers rarely if ever think about reality, they dont grasp what it is until theyre order. Its the parents job to keep their kids on a straight path. Why the heck does a 13 year old even have a bedroom door with a lock?!?!

Not necessarily. It happens in homes where kids have a crappy relationship with their parents. And typically when outside influences have their clutches so tight on the kid there is no bringing them back to reality.

Nine times out of ten when police get called about this kind of situation, or a teenager out of control. Its because of poor and/or weak parenting. Kids have no discipline in their life. They aren't spanked/physically punished by their parents. They have unfettered access to social media, the internet, the wrong group of 'friends', etc.

Conservative/religious house-holds still have kids that act out but its typically in a more sneaky fashion until they are 18 and then can move out. Its rarely as blatant and disrespectful as just running away/refusing to comply with their parents.

I'm convinced having a crappy relationship with a father, not having a father, and/or not respecting the father because they are weak is the cause of the majority of problems facing society today.

Nice part of Arizona surprisingly. They initially stayed in a VERY nice upperclass traditional neighborhood until the divorce.

Been in a similar situation. The girl is fukked for life, will never make a good decision again, she will likely get hard into drugs or sex work until she inevitably gets knocked up and has a kid, from which point she will be in poverty for the rest of her life. It sucks for the parents, but it's the cruel reality of life. Tours over, srs

Also, it's not always because of a weak father or weak parenting, sometimes the kid is just rotten

If you put her under house arrest when she returns she's just gonna bounce again. So make your home a welcoming place, give her tools so you don't get an early grandchild and talk about boundaries in terms of sex in your home is disrespectful to the parents. Go do it somewhere else.

A lot of kids go through a rebellious phase, a year from now she'll probably clean up her act and realise she's a kunt and stop slooting.

You boot her out and you're setting her up to be a poverty sloot for life.
This, I moved out at 15 and didn't come back for 18 months, even then I was fairly independent and move out again within 12 months.

Taking a hard line with her is risky af. It might pay off, but if it doesn't the outcome will be possibly devastating.

Parents need to do the work beforehand so it never gets to this point. Now the horse has bolted, you can cut your losses and do everything to get her back/manage her the best to can from this point or you play the ego game and risk driving her deeper into dysfunction.
