Yup. The best part is all the women at my work would berate me for drinking a white monster. I used to drink 2-3 a day for a while. They said that is way too much caffeine and is horrible for you. It's 140mg per can.

They would come in with large cups of dunkin coffee. That's 300mg of caffeine at once, for much smaller and petite women.

People are absolutely blinded by coffee and caffeine intake. It's hysterical.

If you are on a beta blocker for hypertension, then caffeine wont effect you nearly as much because Beta Blockers block the production of adrenaline at low levels of stimulation. 1 caffeine molecule results in the stimulation of 10,000 other stimulant molecules (cyclic amp, Active PKA, Phosphorylase B Kinase, Glycogen phosphorylase A, glucose 1-phosphate etc)

If anyone needs to quit caffeine and/or purge their system of it also to calm down, rest, sleep etc, take rutaecarpine. It binds to the caffeine and you urinate it out

Why does it have this effect though? I've been taking them for years and I need it just to wake up now.

Stim tolerance is one hell of a feeling. I was using Mr Hyde pwo (test version, loved it) for a while and I felt like a God while working out in it. it has almost 400mg of caffeine in it, so after the jug was empty, I switched to a 200mg pwo. I felt very moody and drained without that extra caffeine intake. I'm going to try to get a stim free pwo and hope to kick the stims altogether.

Green tea is cope. That's 35-50mg of caffeine. That does almost nothing, and is unnecessary at that point. No caffeine is where it is at. I feel normal again. Zero crashes, no highs, no issue at all with anything. I think much more clearly and deliberately. I am much calmer, yet feel stronger and more grounded.
I drink green tea to feel healthy. I don’t drink it for the caffeine.

Do you drink anything apart from water?

Okay sure. But why would I stop if I’m not currently experiencing any downsides? If I do start feeling side effects all of a sudden, sure I’ll ween myself off....but if I’m good right now, why change things?

Coffee makes my fasted workouts feel great. I don’t take preworkout - that stuff’s poison.

That's completely false. The general consensus is that most people can tolerate 400mg per day per the dietary guidelines with little to no symptoms. When you're 6'2 225lbs and genetically have little to no caffeine sensitivity (Swedish....look it up), 400mg is nothing.

Most people are consuming 200-400mg a day, at least. BUT, you have to apply that in totality. Most people consume it every day, for years. That consistency is what is the issue. The long term usage becomes an addiction, which becomes a greater hindrance to you.

I drink water and I also have Kaged Muscle Hydra Charge I put in my water. That's it. I also utilize fruit. Once you get over the addiction of caffeine or even sugary drinks, water tastes amazing. The hydracharge powder adds minerals and vitamins as well. Plus it tastes amazing.

Preworkout and coffee are poison for the same reason. Caffeine.

Yes I get it and i've seen the studies saying that 400mg is """"safe"""" but i'm still super skeptical of MOST peoples caffeine tolerance....I have no evidence to back this up but all i'm trying to get at is the people who feel like trash drinking caffeine were already taking too much to begin with, and as you said consistently.

I never go over 150 mg a day, once I do I start feeling like trash but alot of people are forcing their bodies to NEED 3-400mg a day when they never needed that in the first place..they were always probably 100-200mg kind of people..if you get what im trying to say.

at the end of the day the key is moderation but society has made it too easy to overdose on caffeine (pwo, coca cola, energy drinks, etc.)

I just quit for 5 days, still felt like chit with very little improvements so I took about 100mg today lol... didn't feel much hype even tho 5 days off is a lot considering I was always on it. Caffeine kinda makes my brain fog worse but wakes me up, I decided to look elsewhere healthwise as to why I'm tired all the time... maybe I got diabeetus or something

Also suspecting I might not get enough bloodflow to the brain
