So my thoughts are that I don't want my legs too big but they have to be somewhat developed and in good proportion to my upper body. My legs may not be the biggest especially since I've leaned out 24.5, 25 pumped but I can still wear pants and not feel like they are painted on. I got my legs close to 26 pumped before and my legs would never fit into any of my pants.

I don’t need monstrously huge legs but I would like to see separation in my quads
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

I still squat though it's a great movement abs down to knees, calves get a little work in there too.

That's aside from legmogging Timmys.

In after all the dudes who dont train legs because "my legs are already hooge and I dont want them bigger" lol. The leg day meme is overused, but it's pretty pathetic to bench more than you squat.

Training legs is essential. I used to only train upper body, then I started doing HIIT classes that were probably like 60-40 legs. You're so much more sturdy and confident in everything. I stopped training legs for a couple months during lockdowns and some of these old issues that I had in the past started coming back. Will never make that mistake again.

The GOAT physiques are proportionate. You don't have to have huge legs, but keeping them in line with upper is always preferred.

Women like a dude with nice legs and glute's. A lot of guys just genetically have no butt and chicken legs. Yeah, that aint turning a single woman on.
The good news is legs are ridiculously easy to build. Pick 2 days per week to train legs.
Day 1.
Squat 2 light warmup sets. 3x8 main sets
Hamstring curl (Seated is best) 4x12 reps
Calves 3x15 reps.
Day 2.
Squat 2 light warmup sets 3x8 main sets.
Leg extension or leg press. 4x12 reps.
Calves 3x20 reps.
Every week increase each lift by 5lbs. Squat primarily. If your feeling like crap keep the weight the same on accessory lifts. If you can't get reps, put the weight lower and just do 20-25 rep sets. Same number of sets.
I know what your thinking. Legs twice a week sucks. This format doesn't. Only the three top sets of squats are taxing and its just three sets. Furthermore, that doesn't take long at all so you can still do cardio or abs or both afterwards. No brutal leg day. No limping around. No being sore for the week after. Etc.

Legs are literally my favorite thing to workout. Now, that's not to say that I have great legs, but I get the most enjoyment out of actually training them. They are actually my favorite body part, from a visual aesthetic standpoint on both men and women (no homo). I also make a point to wear shorts as much as possible so I can have them visible. This makes me conscious of how they are currently looking and if I need to go pump them up
cliffs:
legs are the GOAT. Go look at any real athlete and his legs are the thing that stands out the most srs

If you're naturally bottom heavy, you can probably get away with jacking around for a couple of sets on the leg press, extension/curl machine and still keep em in check size wise.
If top heavy, I'd train em hard. Big upper body with toothpick legs and calves looks absolutely ridicolous.
For athleticism and overall strength training legs is essential.

there is a trade off that is made every time you go to the gym, workout. you only can train so much, sleep so much, eat so much food. if you waste you an extra day in the gym training a muscle group that is covered 99% of the time, then you’re a genuine idiot. serious.
I’m telling you. remove one of your lower body days and substitute it for an upper body workout. instantly you workout your upper body an additional 52 times a year. this is basic logic. the upper body muscle/strength are what distinguish a man from a woman or a child. it’s stupid neglect training it.
