Possible that most Turks have Balkan genes and equally possible that Balkanic people have Turkic genes as a result of around 500 years of living together.
original Turks probably looked European.

That’s actually hwere Southern Europeans come from. There was a study done that showed modern day south euros were a results of mixing native hunter gatherer tribes in Europe and farmers that migrated from turkey. This is also how farming was introduced into Europe (~8000 BC).

Modern Turks look more Arabic on avg probably due to the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire encompassed most of the Arabic world, these people from different Arabic states migrated to the center of the empire (turkey) either mixing in and/or just becoming Turkish over the generations.

Take 5 minutes and actually think about why you engaged in this stupid "debate"?
It was pretty clear these were all automated responses copied from Google.

Turkey as it is now, and that general area was kind of that gateway between the east and the west, and that area at least historically before the Ottoman Empire was held by European powers (Greeks, Romans), Persians for some time tho not a European civilization.

Probably a lot of mixing, I consider them more like a mix of Southern Europeans like the Balkans and Central Asians (i.e: Kazakhs, Uzbeks).

Are you joking? He is one of the only proponents on this forum of the "Kurd ==> YPG (terrorist) if: "living in Northern Syria, or Erdogan says so". I have called him out on this many times, even in this thread - I know his positions through and through, hence why he was already crying about me before I entered the thread.

I wanted to be a bit "comprehensive", since more and more lurkers are joining the thread. I'm feeling charitable, and thought that a PSA might go a long way to disrupt the misinformation from basement dwellers that is already being propagated here.

I can see though, as Aristotle noted thousands of years ago that (paraphrased): "Some just don't have the appropriate upbringing to get it".

Yes as it is pretty much a part of europe. Istanbul it's most important city is partly in europe. OR do you mean racially? Not all Europeans are the same tho, a Spaniard from the south is very different from a Greek and very different from a Swede and an Hungarian and they're all european.

I have travelled trough most of europe including Turkey and people look different in every country and even in regions of said countries. So it's just retarded to categorize a group of people as "european" also culturally a Spanish brah is very different from a German brah and both very different from an Italian etc

And historically "europe" meaning the Europe we know today is a pretty modern concept. Histortically this is mostly what has been "Europe" trough thousands of years.

North africa and most of the middle east has more in common with Southern europe than what lies below their borders

not sure if that’s entirely accurate. Spaniards don’t look very different from Italians and Greeks but look very different from arabs.

Turkish people also look different from arabs though.

End of the day, who gives a fuk? I like Turkish brahs, if they want to be European again let them.

Definitely not lol. Spaniards and Portuguese (from Portugal) do not look like North Africans or arabs. I can tell you right away who is Spanish and who is Algerian or egyptian.

All Europeans do look different but we also do look similar. Like anywhere else.. Koreans and Japanese people look different too but also very similar (no racist).

From what I’ve seen in Europe the southern people look pretty similar to one another and the northern people look similar to one another. Then you have the slavs lol.

As of today, they are Asian, but they've been in both. You would never refer to someone from Turkey as being Asian, just like you wouldn't call a Russian Asian. They are more so "Middle Eastern" but between North American, South American, African, European, Asian, Austrailian, or Antartic... they are Asian.
