Born in early 90's. The late 90's to pre-teen years were the most fun - probably till mid 00's. Then social media and phones came along and it ruined the mystery that is life.

Yeah, I had a used phone that my mother gave to me when I was 12 (see pic below), then I got a "better" one at 14 (see pic below) and a slow (1M/s if Im not wrong) and limited internet subscription.

I feel sorry for you guys. SRS. When I was in high school hardly anyone had cell phones. Because of this we'd all meet up at one of about 3 parking lots to plan where the party was gonna be at. After everyone got cell phones that never happened and all the parties shrank in size. People were able to coordinate better and instead of having 1 200 person party there would be 20 10 person parties all spread out over the county. In the before times people had to break out of their comfort zone to have a good time

When I was in high school everybody had smartphones already.

Dunno if you guys really got that "American Pie" vibe when you were in high school or if it was just a hollywood thing, but I totally didn't have it. For 2 different reasons, first of all, like I said, everybody had smartphones, second of all we can't drive at that age here, so we didn't have such "freedom" at all.

That freedom came when we got 18yo so you could get our driver license, the problem is, when you turn 18/19 you go to college or work and you start to have more responsability. Ofc there is a lot of "wild" guys in college, but at that age (I went to college at 20yo) I didn't really feel like messing around. Just wanted to finish that **** and start to get my own money and independence.

Fuk, can't even imagine how it would be if I had that type of freedom at that age.

Highschool feels like **** here. There is no sports teams, everybody is foccused on getting good grades so they can go to some college close to where they live. Nobody has a license, nobody messes around. You can't even get out of school during the breaks. You just move to the next classroom, and w8 for the teachers ... in between you play some **** on your smartphone/check your social medias/make some random conversation... nothing really special.

Worst years of my life.

That sounds like a nightmare. I loved high school. In the fall we played football games on Friday night and after the games we'd head out to a pasture party and get drunk and sleep in our cars or in the back of a truck. When basketball season started we'd play games usually on week nights but we took the same bus as the cheerleaders and girls team so we'd shoot the chit with them or sit at the back of the bus and dip snuff. I went to a different school my junior and senior year where they let us drive to the games. That was a mistake lol. We'd get blasted high on the way back home. We also went to a convention in the spring down at the beach and it was called... wait for it............Beta Convention lmfao. Ded srs. The Beta club was an academic club and you had to keep a 3.5 gpa to stay in it. I loved beta convention because the hot girl to guy ratio was 5:1. Every year I'd hook with a chick during the dance. One year I hooked up with one that was in my chemistry class and her bf tried to kill me. I knew it was a bad idea but she was wearing some tan colored yoga pants when they first came out and that ass was fat. High T is a hell of a thing
