India is one country.
They have done an alright job of modernising considering the population.
Africa keeps being fragmented into more and more countries due to civil wars.
And they don't have fuk all to bring to the table unless you're talking about resources.

No space exploration nothing.
Half of the people don't even get an education.
It's just a chithole in so many ways and it's as corrupt as you can find.

Civil wars, as long as its the same race fighting each other, is fine. The only time it becomes a problem is when other races get involved, particularly the Americans. The American military are pieces of chit btw.

Space exploration is the biggest waste of money. There's really nothing out there. And if there is something out there, it needs to come to us. Earth is the perfect place for life.

Education is subjective.

As for corruption, I can't speak on it because I don't know much about their country.

60 years is a long time to build an economy when you have high IQ, hard-working people and access to the technology of highly developed nations. They also had a near- monarchy and ethnic uniformity, both of which help a lot with not having to deal with any bullchit.

And it's not like the addition of Japanese genes would be bad either.

idk what race has to do with it lol, considering the same “race” is NK. So theres two polar opposite examples of success/failure from the exact same group of people.

the difference is that America came in in the 50s and sided with the South. Since then South Korea benefitted by heavy American financial and infrastructure investment, same with Japan after WW2

Instead of crying and moaning about what happened before, they picked themselves up and got to work.

IQ is a factor but the bigger factor is innovation. You can be better at math and do fine, but the guy who dreams for the stars will put a man on the moon.

SK/Japan has sufficient IQ to be successful but lets be real, they are successful by adopting western ideas and western innovations/technology while also being heavily supported by the west post-ww2

Korean people are some of the most pragmatic on the planet.
In America most people are satisfied with mediocrity or worse but in South Korea everyone wants to go to their equivalent of Ivy League universities and the competition is intense.
It's a completely different mindset than America.

Fairly incredible that South Korea went from one of the poorest nations in the world in the 1950s to one of the most developed today without any natural resources to export. In the 1960's General Park gained control of South Korea and decided that he didn't want the country to be reliant upon foreign aid and started focusing on exporting manufactured goods. The government also expanded access to secondary, vocationary and tertiary education and focussed on industrializing the economy through 5 year plans. The problem for South Korea now is their low birth rate and property bubble that is squeezing the middle class.
