Chiropractor helped me a lot when I had a back injury. Relieves pain etc.

Eventually I strengthened it thru stem cells and proper exercise and rehab.

Yes, it's a scam.

The whole concept of a spine being out of alignment and needing adjustment is ridiculous.

However, as part of their scam adjustments, they do know basic stretches that can help you feel better temporarily, but it would be the same if you did them yourself at home.

There is a danger from chiropractors as well. One of their favorite adjustments can kill you by causing a stroke. It happens a lot. If you insist on going to one, never let them fukc around with your neck.

I had to go to a chiro after I had sciatic nerve pain when I was a sophomore in college. The dude could not have been any nicer and cool. He had to heat my lower back/upper butt, massage it, electric stim it, crack my back, and stretch me out, all no homo. I remember the first time I walked out of his office it was like I just got a brand new body. I felt good, had great movement, and no pain. A lot of them can be con artists, but there's good ones out there.

this, the only risk of a massage is getting a stroke afterwards

My office is right next door to a chiropractor's (insurance brah). He didn't have any employees for 6+ months up until earlier this year. A month or two ago he realized he needed a worker's comp policy and sent his employee over to get a quote. In the end, they went with us, BUT, pretty sure he made his employee pay for it out of her own pocket. That's chiropractors in a nutshell.

99% of them are quack jobs who look for ways to make more money. Legit scamming everyone and overcharging your insurance company is their MO.

You cannot even trust physical therapists because a lot of them are scam artist too.

You're almost better off going to a massage therapist. If you choose the right one you'll be happy with the immediate results at the end.

I don't know about causing a stroke but when you are moving things around that normally don't move that much, you risk releasing something. In other words, they would have had it anyways, it just accelerated the process. A stroke is where a blood clot blocks part of the brain, right? How would cracking your neck cause a blood clot? They already had one. Same note, people have been known to have their aorta burst or have an aneurysm burs while running or doing strenuous activity. You can't tell me that these people didn't have a problem in the first place.

Anyone with ONLY chiro background is a scammer.

There are plenty of chiros that also have a background or education in physiotherapy or other kines related fields, and they're pretty legit, because some joint manipulation can actually help.

But chiro itself is literally founded on witchcraft

Uh no? You don't understand medical science lmao. The issue with neck manipulation is that cracking the spinal column that high up is where there's less protection of the blood vessels and your spinal cord/brainstem. The issues happen because the chiro usually pinches something, not because they "released" the bad juju lmao

I went to the chiropractor like 2-3 weeks ago mainly because like 4 years ago i sprained my ankle and it didn't feel right afterwards at all and because i practice armwrestling and when i went to the doc like 5 years ago he said i had stylo scaphoidian impingement and that if i kept armwrestling i'd need a "new hand". Went to this guy and he straight up fixed it. My ankle felt 100 times better afterwards and i could actually put weight on my leg and have balance when i stood in one foot.
After the adjustment and for a couple of days it got a little swollen and was getting tired if i staid up for too long but how feels way better.
Another thing that i noticed, my knees and lower back feel better too, until i sprained my ankle i was able to crack my back on my own but afterwards it was less and less able to do it, now i can do it again.

My wrist pain got way more manageable and it hurts way less and in less movements. My grip and overall hand strength got significantly better and now i can actually train my forearms without any major discomfort that i had until now.On the hand that i had the impingement my grip strength was lacking pretty bad, after he did his magic it felt stronger and i was more confident on it.

This was from only one visit and i feel like i need to make a few more visits. Nobody told me that i need but i feel like if i do and he does his thing it will get better.

From the beginning he said if he can help me he will if not there is no charge.

TL DR. Do your research first, If you do go to a chiropractor I'd say its best for him to look at your ankles, knees, pelvis and probably back if he seems like he know what he's doing because that is the foundation. If your ankles, knees and pelvis are all phucked up he can crack your back, neck, shoulders all day but that will be only temporary.
Also, if you feel like you have a imbalance and its going on for a long time then most probably your muscles compensate for this imbalance and that will be a problem too. I felt this on my own with my sprained ankle.

Dr Ian from Ostralia is the best chiropractor you can get. That guy really know what hes's doing.

It was worth it but i would not anyone touch my neck unless i know they know what they are doing.

Yes, it's very real. It's an arterial dissection. It leads to strokes. Perhaps 1 in 5 of those lead to death.

Beyond strokes, chiropractors can and do cause lots of other serious injuries as well.

Because as a liberal, you have probably justified the past 3 months of non-stop rioting based on fewer deaths that chiropractors cause. I know you're in the UK. I never made a statement, I said what I suspected your motives were for these reasons;

You bring up the shooting of a black man, to a black man, in a thread about chiropractors. Despite me not once supporting BLM or the riots on the misc.

Seems obvious to me you wrote that to me. I could be wrong, I can't read minds, but I'm going by what I believe... Either way, there was no need to bring that up in a thread about chiropractors in response to what I wrote.
I know enough based on your other political discussions to know where you likely stand.
You obviously don't, because I'm not a liberal, and I've stated on the misc and R/P numerous times what my political beliefs are.

I'm pretty confident your motives were racially motivated, if I'm wrong... Sorry... But I don't think I am.

Get over yourself. I not only didn't know, but don't care that you're black. I've seen enough of your beta liberal bullchit to know that you're a beta liberal. I've negged you before and I will again. If it helps you feel more virtuous to think your CP negs or that people only disagree with you simply because of the color of your skin, then all I can say is good luck with that.

Just to be clear with my analogy though... there are millions of clowns who think 3 months of rioting and demands to defund the police are justified because of 8-10 unarmed black civilians are killed by police each year out of however many millions of interactions, but you think 80-100 (maybe more, hard numbers are hard to come by) or so strokes out of millions of chiropractor adjustments each year is "not a lot"... seems backwards to me.

And why did I use the BLM riots in the analogy? Because it's what's in the news right now and it so obviously illustrates that chiropractor induced strokes cannot be dismissed as "not a lot" by someone who at the same time considers rioting a necessary response to an epidemic of police shootings.

But whatever... Orange Man Bad, right?

I would have gladly paid double for his advice and treatment.
I had the exact same issue happen...i legit couldnt stand up and walk correctly. Chiro fixed me in 3 sessions. I thought they were full of chit too but at least in this situation it 100 percent helped.

Fukked up my back and put off going to the chiro. Thank god I didn't go right away. When I finally did go, I was already pretty close to 100% and actually felt worse for a couple days after the adjustment. No chance I'm going back.

My wife sees him regularly for neck and back issues. As far as I can tell, it's a placebo and she should really get an MRI, but she insists that it works and her insurance covers it so whatever. Inb4 wife is banging chiro...

Snake oil salesman and dangerous. I’ve seen patients die from carotid artery dissections after a chiropractic “adjustment”

I’m a medical provider and have no respect for chiros. I recently treated a child with pretty bad Croup and the father was “in med school”(Chiro school lolll) and he refused my round of steroids for the kid calling it dangerous I was like wtf did you come to me for then????
