I've never like the taste of eggs but I still eat one, sometimes two hard-boiled eggs a day. They are just too cheap, easy to prepare, and healthy to not eat. I've read different things about whether eating a lot of eggs is a bad idea. I don't know what to believe.

wtf this the first time I heard of it causing Prostate and Colon cancer due to Choline?

then he said a study from harvard claims eating just 2 and half eggs per week raises your risk of Prostate cancer by 80 percent wtf?

Also about not drinking tap water. Fluoride is a toxin. Think about it. Why the fuk is the government so concerned about our teeth? Should people not be able to make a decision what supplement they want to take? Americans are deficient in many minerals. Why do they not start lacing tap water with zinc?? You know for health reasons? Seems hardly scientific that you take one element from the periodic table and become concerned over making sure the public gets it enough. Especially when it costs them money to do so.

Also if you walk into a pharmacy and ask a pharmacist “hey tell me one drug/supplement I could take with no regard for dose and dosage does not matter regardless of age, gender, or health conditions” they’d laugh in your face. Fluoride is completely fukd. Also the vast majority of countries do not fluoridate water. Are they just idiots? What secret piece of info do countries like Canada and America have that Europeans don’t?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GqstwfKGzPI

^Documentary. Really highlights how fukked up the whole thing is. I quit tap water and will be switching over to spring water. Luckily in my province there are a fair number of springs.

You Americans are even luckier. There’s springs everywhere in your country. Just make sure the water is tested. Go on findaspring.com for full details.

I watch him a lot. The gist of his message is:

- high fat
- keto
- intermittent fasting
- don’t drink tap water. Only drink when thirsty
- electrolytes on keto
- trace minerals
- 100% grass fed grass finished
- organic
- 7-10 cups of vegetables a day.
- no fruits aside from berries every now and then. Most fruit has been cultivated over many many years through selective plantation to be filled with sugar. You wouldn’t find most of these fruits in their current form in the wild.

I’ve incorporated keto + IF. His electrolyte formula is amazing too, tastes great and loaded with the right stuff. I take his trace minerals and wheatgrass juice powder too.

The only thing I do not agree with him on is 7-10 cups of vegetables a day. I don’t react well to a lot of green cruciferous vegetables like kale. Vegetables are full of anti nutrients because well plants don’t like to be eaten. There’s no easy answer to this topic. Our ancestors fermented a lot of vegetables which kills off a lot of the anti nutrients. It’s interesting stuff. I only had incredibly positive reactions to sauerkraut (gut bacteria goat food) despite not reacting well to leafy greens. Also if you eat organ meats (animals always go for the organs first which is interesting) it completely mogs any other food in vitamins and minerals. Even Dr Berg admits beef liver is probably the most nutrient dense food on the planet.

So yea that’s literally his main talking points. Make of it what you will

4 eggs is pretty much the maximum that I can do.

Can’t really do eggs by themselves either. I used to try and eat plain eggs with ketchup day after day for 1-2 years back in college and that ruined it for me.

I used to eat 3 dozen when I was wrestling and continued to after I stopped, I still eat 6-12 everyday but I rather fill the other cals with grass-fed, grass-finished beef. Fat isn't bad for you, cholesterol is good for you.

Vegetables are what's bad for you, these have been selectively breed just as fruit have and they contain compounds meant to harm you. A vegetable that "lowers blood pressure" is not always good for you.

It is true fruit is different now than it was but that does not mean sugar or fruit is bad for you, honey has been here since the beginning of time. Berries are bad, they contain oxalic acid, think "anti-freeze"

Fraud. That said I don't think eggs are bad as long as you actually buy the good stuff and not the cheap mass produced garbage.

the biggest factor that contributes to cholesterol issues is oxidative stress oxidizing the Lipoproteins attached to the cholesterol. Oxidized LDL is the boogeyman being referred when people talk about bad cholesterol. Types 1 & 2 are the non oxidized states and are healthy and just fine to have high levels of, types 3-7 are the oxidized bad types. So even having High LDL isnt the full picture/necessarily bad. You need a test called LDL electrophoresis to determine your LDL profile.

The biggest sources of oxidative stress from diet are sugar (fructose specifically), and poly unsaturated fats (seed oils like canola, grape seed, sunflower seed, etc...)

Mountains of evidence are solidifying Keto diets, specifically ones high in saturated and monounsaturated fats are the least oxidizing on the body. Even relatively high carbs with little or no sugars are superior to the SAD. Basically flip the food pyramid upside down to know whats actually healthy.

Eggs have cholesterol which helps testosterone which is the most important hormone in the body (srs).
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Some good responses itt, so pretty much what I'm getting is that the benefits outweigh the risks (you would have to eat a ridiculous number of eggs to affect your health), and that health issues attributed to eggs are often due to other adverse eating habits.

Agreed, I don't even dislike eggs but I find that more than 4-5 is too much in one go for me.

Also it's absolutely insane that in this very thread there are people talking about dietary cholesterol and saturated fat like they are bad. You have the internet, there is no excuse for this.

I have no clue what you’re saying
CONCLUSION

Evidence suggests that dietary PUFAs, when substituted for saturated fatty acids, will confer net health gains, most notably in cardiovascular disease. An upper limit of 10% of energy for n−6 PUFAs is presently recommended by experts, but a palatable and practicable diet will usually not exceed this limit. It also seems wise to ensure a high dietary intake of antioxidants. The risk of adverse effects of dietary PUFAs, whether on cholesterol or glucose metabolism or hemostatic function (except for large doses of n−3 PUFAs), seems small

lol honestly feels like I’m back on reddit reading through this thread. We give them a good resource in Dr berg and they dismiss him as a fraud because of some of the more mainstream MDs attacking him because they are insecure and can’t fathom the thought of someone learning something about the human body that they didn’t learn in their pharmaceutical funded studies.

The idea of practicing should be just that. That you’re practicing and always learning. It’s not like mds are the epitome of good health in school while cramming red bulls and studying material that they’ll forget and look up on google. Most mds know very little about nutrition from their own genuine research. Most mds stick with whatever they have learned in their pharmaceutical funded schooling and just push pills or refer you to someone. Just because he’s a chiropractor does not exclude him from understanding the human body. Being an md does not mean someone understands how to optimize the human body.

Notice how if you go to a doctor and mention anxiety they will never bother looking at your diet And assessing based on blood work where you are deficient and the science behind how it may tie into anxiety. There’s no personalized approach. They make you, a vulnerable patient, fill out a questionnaire, a freaking questionnaire, because what person would walk into a drs office for anxiety and not overstate how bad it is to ensure they’re taken seriously, and if you meet the criteria for whatever it is, anxiety or ADD, the doctor prescribes whatever pill he hasn’t made as many sales of this week. Then you build tolerance, dependability, side effects for which you take more pills which cause even more side effects, and you cannot stop taking these pills without a very slow taper and before you know it 2 years have passed and you end up in a worse state than when you started when you stop. Just fukking lol at calling that science in 2020.

Look at what happened to Jordan Peterson. Guy has been fukked, checking in and out of mental asylums across the world because he got prescribed an anti depressant and couldn’t come off it. Look at almost all mass shooters and what they are on. They prescribe this crap to 18 year old kids.

Meanwhile you have someone that’s spent years and years of his life researching this stuff but because he said a few things that you didn’t agree with some people want to hate on him and don’t realize what’s in front of them for free. How about the 10s of thousands of patients he has worked with. How about the over 2000 medical practitioners he has trained. How about some of his clients being very high end people including senior officials in the US government. How about the thousands of testimonies from people who changed their lives completely thanks to his help. Testimonies do mean something and the reason they are dismissed as anecdotes by pharmaceuticals is because they don’t have any or if they do none are raving about them.

He literally completely quit his practice as a chiropractor to study health and nutrition. That’s commitment. He knows his stuff. What you think they would take any whack job to teach health and nutrition at Harvard university as an associate professor?

The great thing about him compared to others with Dr besides their name is that he’s willing to always learn and admit where he’s wrong unlike most medical professionals today.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=usBkRM-V-2c

He’s giving you a gold mine if information when everything is confusing and misleading. I doubt his channel stays up in the next 10 years. Cannot imagine why they wouldn’t want to shut it down

He’s giving you a gold mine if information when everything is confusing and misleading. I doubt his channel stays up in the next 10 years. Cannot imagine why they wouldn’t want to shut it down
So this dude underlining sh*t anybody with any fitness knowledge already knows on a white board makes him a ground breaking medical doctor? LOL.

INb4 repost.
I've eaten 4-6 eggs every morning for years. No issues whatsoever.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.
