THE BOYS Season 2 official thread - Starlight is a 10/10 crew

Season 2 drops the first 3 episodes tomorrow (Friday 9/4) but let's get the party warmed up for the Aussiebrahs and UK palecels who get to watch this beauty before the land of the free. 3 episodes tomorrow then a new episode every Friday for an 8-ep season.

So far it seems like they ruined storm front.

they made storm front a female.

Unless they are hiding the true origin still.

But I doubt it.

They said they made storm front a woman so when she fights Homelander it's more humiliating.

She better die the same way as the graphic novel... At least get something right...

I'll answer questions people have, under spoiler tags of course.

One thing they have gotten right is the dark theme... it could of course turn around... maybe.

Storm Front is the first supe ever created, straight German with a German War Eagle on his chest. Hitler wanted to kill him when he saw its potential, but Americans brought him to America while still a kid.

He is supposed to be older, late 60s. He is the leader of Payback, which it seems they completely left out of the story. Payback is second only to the 7.

Storm Front is the literal anti-Homelander. They loath each other... but they never fought each other. Payback get sent in to kill The Boys, but The Boys eventually kill off Payback one by one.

Storm Front sends Female into a coma, incapacitates MM and then a bit later on is absolutely mogged brutally beaten to death by The Boys and Love Sausage.

If any of you are actually fans of this show, the comics are 10000000000000000000000000000000x better. srs

I don't think any TV adaptation is ever as good as the original, brah.

There's going to be a character in S3 called Soldier Boy who's supposed to be the first super ever created. Maybe they are bringing the story in that way?

It's good because it holds onto the theme. Which is why I watch it still. The anti-hero theme, showing human nature for real and what super heroes would actually do if they existed.

It's the detait they have changed that make me dislike it.

No Teenage Kix in S1 was a disappointment.

There are two Soldier Boys. One died in WW2. He was part of Malloy's team. When he got injured Malloy and him were the only ones alive, Malloy killed him with a grenade.

Malloy, who led The Avenging Squad which got exterminated by the Germans and then started The Boys. The old white lady that helps is supposed to be an old WW2 man veteran.

They made him a she. The only thing consistent is Lamplighter incinerating the grandkid.

The Avenging Squad was the first Vaught team of supes, untrained retards.

The second Soldier Boy is a play on Captain America and is a bottom twink soyboy. Homelander talks him into letting him (Homelander) top him (soldier boy) by telling him (soldier boy) that he would get into the 7 this way.
