Now please explain how making that observation is making an excuse for people and my own lot in life (and the funny thing is you have no idea what lot in life I fall under and from which class I come from, I think if you did my posts would rustle you a lot harder than they already do lmfao)
If you're not doing anything with your life, then you should perhaps be kicked out. Or at least threatened with being kicked out.

Unfortunately a ton of people have no business having children, especially if they can't take care of themselves. You're just causing them to become a burden on society.

Seriously, I am starting to question the reading comprehension of a lot of people in this thread.

id kid my wife out too if she tried to kick my son out at 18. Family comes first
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

And probably the same Americans complaining about the death of family values. Fukin lol.

Anyways, it's on reddit, so it's probably fake. But a lot of these guys kicking out their kids at 18 are the same ones who get stuffed in nursing homes and complain that their kids don't visit them.

the military is not exactly 100% self sufficiency since the government is footing the bill for most of your room and board. Also, many people aren't cut for the military especially if they have some genetic defect that disqualifies them like bad eye sight (air force)/fallen arches/congenital heart defect (Marines) etc. What are they suppose to do?

moving out at 18 is boomer privilege where they can get a job at the yard down the road, rent for 10 years then pay for a house in full, cash on hand by the end of that.

who wants to stay with their folks at 18? You can bring home a girl and fuk her all over the house, she can scream till the windows shatter, and the only ones who'll say anything are the neighbours. Sleep at 2am, wake up at 12, leave dishes undone, live like a king.

Boomer parents who've done that think that today's 18 year olds can go to a local business down the road, hop over the fence, and be able to afford a full house cash money in 10 years. They want their children to "spread their wings" like they did, but they're fukking disconnected from reality. Ivy league can barely get you a crackhouse rental with 6 other housemates, 20 miles from your workplace, much less a chit 18 year old with nothing.

The only kids that leave are the daughters who move in with their bf/husbands who are more often that not still living under their paternal household roof.

So the bad eye sight will disqualify them from the air force, there's numerous other branches they can join.

What I'm saying is that its admirable how some people have their **** together at a young age. And then there are those who live at mommy and daddy's house till their 30 years old.....and whats even sadder is that people like you make excuses for them.

and thats fine.

However, in the OP's story the kid was on the verge of being kicked out with not even a chance to pay rent as compensation for living at home as an adult.

No. The greatest generation did it, the silent generation did it. These are the men who stormed Normandy, and you're calling them man children?

The only generation who did the move out at 18 were the boomers, because they could hop a fence and earn a wage large enough to support an entire family, plus save for a house in 10 years. They were the generation of plenty and priviledge.

You think people were fukking moving out at 18 during the great fukking depression? Fukking grapes of wrath had 4 generations "living" under one household.

no, because its been like that in those countries for hundreds of years. The kids stay at home and help take care of the household chores and take care of the parents into their elderly years, and when the parents pass away the kids take ownership of the house, and the cycle repeats.

Thats how you develop tiny quiet villages where generations of a family have been living under one roof for 200+ years.

Its a very American idea for every single person to have their own individual house or for every person to have their own individual car.

I rented from 21 to 32, till I owned my own fukking $1m house in Melbourne Australia, just LMAO @ not being able to see any other perspective other than your own. Are you even a homeowner or a rentcel?

It was hard as fuk saving for a house, only dual high paying managerial incomes managed to do it. The regular professional folks could only do it because they stayed with their folks till 30, and even those who bought houses rented it out and stayed with their folks. That's how you get people earning half of what we earn being able to pay down 80% of their mortgage by 35. Having bogan chit parents that kick you out @ 18 is the absolute last thing you need to get ahead in life. Even the worst bogans don't do it, only the pure psychopaths do it.

Moving out at 18 makes you a slave to the banks. The landlord is just the middleman. Anyone who move out voluntarily or thinks its a good idea at 18 is an utter cuckold of the highest order.
