Hes making about 35-40k right now. Once he does ROTC hell be making close to 50k. There are exceptions and so long as his stupidity or laziness isn't the root then he'll be fine on any of these. Hes actually 17 and a freshman but 18 soon in a couple of weeks.

Hes doing really well. Light years ahead of his peers. He made manager at work. Hes a hard worker.

I'm just worried some chick will fk him up or he tries the pull out game. Last one almost did but hes all about disregarding feels and acquiring money at this point.

I'm quite proud of him. Both of his parents are high impact players. Hes doing well in the minors.

I'm pushing ROTC but he wants to enlist. I'm senior enlisted and it's a hard long road. A 21 year old kid shows up and makes as much as I do when hes coming in the military. I wouldn't do it over differently but I never had the pedigree to be an officer anyway. He does and I know I can make him a good officer, that's what we do as senior enlisted.

No. It's not. Its okaying and introducing poverty life. That kid will likely never go to school. Huge gamble and not worth it. Especially if you're not doing what the man of the house wants. It's his house.

Ehh, I didn't go to college and im doing better than 99% of my peers.

I took a 1.5 year pause to figure out what I wanted to do. Found out that Idefinitelydidnt want to go to college.

75K/yr as a software dev at 23 and looking to switch jobs for a bump to 100k+ by the end of the year.

My current situation is not as successful as I wanted it to be by this age, but its miles ahead better of the situations I see other people my age are in.

I don't agree. As long as the kid has a job and is working rather than sitting on their ass all day I think it's fine at this point in time with the pandemic. It's a fact that some people don't do well with virtual learning and to spend full price on college to fail out is not it.

If they're taking a "gap" year, then they should be working full-time.

If you're not going to school and you're only working part time, and you're living at home with your parents, then they did a **** job and need to stop coddling you

I dont disagree with specific skilled employment at all. But get you're ass out if not actively providing help to foster the future. Working a low level employment gig isn't it.
