I have a couple of friends that are professional photographers but are we talking like photos as in down the beach with hair blowing my hair around where I’m looking and laughing at the camera in a clearly posed photo? I mean the quality on tinder will show these are different than photos just taken from a phone so women are naturally likely to question it right? What do you say if someone asks why they’re so different in terms of quality? Surely you don’t tell them that they’re professional photos right? I mean I’m happy to get some professional ones done if you genuinely think that’s what needs to be done but what do I do for other “normal photos” if you will? I live around woods/beaches/big parks/a city. Do you suggest I go out with a tripod and iPhone taking portrait style photos?

Sounds weird but when I was in the gym last year my friend had a google pixel phone and he randomly took a photo of me using the portrait mode just to show off the quality....it was an off the cuff photo I didn’t even prepare for but I looked good in it lol. It had a professional feel to it but it made me look better than a normal photo would so I can definitely see where you’re coming from with the professional photo angle.

I have one 'professionally' taken pic as my main, full body, kinda candid but obviously not, that pic gets the most likes on hinge. Personally I wouldn't add more than 1 like that as a guy, it's just quite obvious it's not taken with a phone camera (even when compressed to shiet on tinder), so very staged and crass.

That's true. The over 40 crowd is really prone to post pics that are 5-10 years old. Just lol.

Online dating is easy for hookups, yet not for long-term relationships. I keep trying, though, as meeting people IRL through volleyball games and bars is not available in this annoying Covid world. I can't wait for our lives to return to normal. I did join the adventure club that I post about which has singles. We have gone surfing, horseback riding on the beach, whale watching, beach bonfires, and I'm going to learn paddle boarding with them soon. I also signed up for hikes and camping. Who knows what will happen there.

So far it's been mostly men; a sausage fest.
