das it mane.

good times with good people and good music... can't be beat. Will forever be undefeated over this virtual existence and popularity these zoomers are striving for.

I deleted all social media in 2016. IG/FB/SC... those who matter have my phone number. People like to think they have dozens and dozens of "friends", but how many of those people would be there for you any time any place no matter the inconvenience...? Probably 2-3. We started doing this hilarious 'shame circle' where we start chanting 'shame shame shame' on whoever brings out their phone now when we're together. It's worked quite well.

I've been thinking of deleting ********, just a feed of bs and random stupid memes that people from high school. Also all the memes are about drinking, being drunk or anything related to that.
Except it's like addiction, can't seem to delete it because I feel like I will miss out on something.

Instagram is still ok since I follow helpful pages or pages that interest me. I don't follow any sloots that wouldn't reply back to my DMs either

Social media isn't that bad, the problem is who you follow.

If you're following losers like Dan Bilzerian who got all their money from daddy, you will get depressed 100%.

If you follow people who went from rags to riches, don't brag about their money, give humble/wholesome advice, etc, it will motivate you 100%.

The Rock is a good example of this, he was poor as **** and made something of his life. He spends all his money on improvement and helping others.

Social media will quite likely be the downfall of our society as a whole. You have kids/teenagers now that will literally have full blown anxiety/panic attacks if they get separated from their phone. Das not it boyos. My wife and I are taking a trip next month and there will be a 3 day stretch where we have ZERO cell phone access. I'm very much looking forward to it.

ITT: People learn they are addicted and realize it is actually hard to break addiction.

You guys can do it. If you can diet down to sub 14% bodyfat with all the garbage available today, you can diet down your social media to zero.

It all takes will power and desire to quit.

No social media for over 6 years.

No porn or fapping for me for over 2 years. Degenerate, mind numbing, dopamine pumping, cuck training trash.

No drugs, outside of caffeine, for 3 months now. Although I still have some mead on the weekend, yes literal mead, no flavor, just the honey alcohol. All it has is Honey, Water and Yeast (or some other bacterial culture)Most stores are retards and put mead in the wine/spirits area.(bevmo/totalwine etc)

A lot of people require rock bottom for them to change their life or lifestyle.

A lot of people just need to find a substitute for their fixes. People who quit smoking become snackers, people who quit alcohol turn to soda, people who quit dipping turn to gun chewing.

Need to literally quit watching NBA/NFL/NHL/MLB. That is the circus for you to live vicariously through other men doing things, you get your dopamine hits when they do good or win.

Brahs need inspiration to go outside and do things in nature, to watch things that are NOT loaded with BS propaganda.

Golf
Go hit some balls at the range and get one of those many fine girls that golf help you learn, or if your good then ask them to play 9 holes on you. Golf girls are hnnnng.

If more than 1 person in the group is on their phone someone will always comment "sock phone party guys". This then leads to mocking whoever took the phone out until they put it away. Stupid but it works

Agreed. Things were pretty fuking out of control up until about two weeks ago, and now media has become surprisingly tolerable. I was under the impression that things would be pushed way out of control with the elections less than a couple months away.

Social Media is literally entertainment. Nothing more. It's no surprise that teenage kids are killing themselves so much now, because they don't know how to separate the BS from reality. I'm a tough minded mofo, and even I was getting super stressed a few weeks ago(while also working 12 hour days and juggling a few tough work deals).

It can be fine, as long as you don't fill it up with objects and life styles you long after. If you fill your feed with that, the only thing you will do is remind yourself multiple times a day that you are "lacking something" and that you are not good enough.

Mine is filled with sports memes, nature, and a few hobbies. I don't spend all day looking at giant booties on girls hotter than mine, massive houses and people with wealth because why would I want to look at that? It would only give me fomo/insecurity/longing.

As for FB... People, there is a phucking REASON you don't talk to anyone from high school anymore. Why look at a feed filled with their often uneducated, inane opinions? It's filled with single moms and boring people. Literally almost nothing of value, and no reason to have FB in 2020. I thought it would be hard living without it since I used to scroll it all the time. Deleted it years ago and was shocked after two days how much time I was wasting and how unhappy it made me.

Strong cope OP.

Quitting and opting out like so many miscers seem to favor IS NOT THE ANSWER.

Right now with covid the only form of dating going on is via Instagram slide-ins and hinge, etc. IRL meeting might just be a thing of the past from lockdowns to the foreseeable future.

Stop telling young men to run away. They need to man the fk up and go INTO THE FIRE if they truly want to get rewarded, not RUN AWAY and be too scared of getting mogged. 90/10 rule

Been wanting t do it for a while but never do.

I don't have much of a reason for FB...mostly browse marketplace. Instagram I like to keep my good photos there but I could probably just deactivate it for a bit to stop the browsing.

Snapchat I don't really count too much because it's just like texting.

I'm willing to bet most Introverts aren't on social media, and if we are, it's a couple posts here and there. Feels good not needing validation from others. Feels good we enjoy being alone.

Most people depending on social media are losers

Honestly yeah. I went into my settings before I deleted ******** and looked at my scroll time daily and was over an hour to an hour and a half. Added up that 7-9 hours a week of just looking at memes or getting triggered online. Its honestly refreshing not directing so much time towards that anymore. Now I just need to misc less.

Deleted FB years ago and now i'm thinking its time for Instagram to follow. The reason I've held on to it is because I have a few group chats with friends where we send each other memes so I would miss that but fuark would I love to get away from all the political and social justice nonsense. I just turned 30 this year and feel like a old man compared to all the bishes i see doing tik tok dances on my explore page. I'm convinced that life would improve by at least 50% for every person if they stopped watching the news and got off social media.

agreed op, I've also been thinking about this a lot too. my future kids will be born in an age where literally everything is online/digitized and it's difficult to escape it.

My cousin's family actually moved to Jordan like 10 years back but wouldn't tell me the reason until recently. The main reason her family moved there was they wanted to raise their kids in an environment without all of this social media, technology and distractions. They live in a relatively isolated gated community where all the families know each other and all the kids run around and play with each other in the neighbourhood. They have their kids enrolled in all sorts of chit like swimming, BJJ, taekwondo, etc as well as tuition. They literally don't have time to watch TV or play video games.

Was actually kinda mirin this lifestyle, srs. Been finding myself less on social media. If you use it to run a business or something, I think it is another thing altogether. Key is to make these things work for you, instead of the opposite.

Imagine scrolling ******** for what amounts toTEN FULL TIME WORK WEEKS a year only to see uneducated single moms posting memes, or kids from high school that never made anything out of themselves posting TRIGGERING political opinions, and minutia from their day.

And people say it's hard to quit. Hard to quit seeing ret*rds opinions and stale memes for the equivalent of 10 full work weeks a year? Better question, is your daily life so chitty that you can't afford to fill it with something other then people's pro or anti trump opinions? Your life is so chitty you can't break away from all the memes single mom's are posting? Then here is a hint, improve your life with literally anything of value over FB.

People in the other threads obsessing over the outrage of some throwaway bish having an OnlyFans, and OP in here talking sense. More motherfukkers need to read Atlas Shrugged or something and focus on their own development instead of worrying about whether or not some wannabe "conservative" sloot should be doing ASMR readings of the Second Amendment to help neckbeards fap.

Human nature is fukked up. It was fukked up in the 1950s. If you're that mad about it, stop staring at fringe internet stuff that doesn't matter and go focus on fixing yourself in the real world. Play for your own team. Normalize not being a whining incel with control issues. This used to be Misc 101 before the forum's unfiltered nature led the populist scums to build a hive here.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

It wasn't difficult to quit, thankfully. But all of that wasted time looking at stuff I didn't care about. You're right. I realized the huge waste of time and shut that **** down. I never watch tv,, I feel the same way about tv, video games as well.
