It mostly traces back to long term thinking/planning, even tho there are other reasons. It´s not hard to increase the family wealth over generations with long term thinking.

Ashkenazi Jews, but not all Jews are Ashkenazi, and many Jews have 1 Jewish parent and 1 non-Jewish parent.

Jewish Nepotism and Jewish Supermacism is likely a large part of Jewish success. They have a sociocentric culture, rather than an egocentric one (meaning individualistic). They also - as far as I can tell - encourage children to get jobs that are socially prestigious, and also in finance and media.
