Require continuing education. Too many cops misinterpret laws they enforce. ( even had a misc cop do it with me in a thread. He could have arrested someone based on his ignorance)

They often get a light sentence or no time at all when found guilty.
Because Police are not private citizens but agents of the government they are granted special powers. With special powers tho comes responsibility.
In the US military you lose certain rights under the constitution. (For example you commit a crime you can do military time after you get out of state prison)
It should be no different for cops.

When it's a LEO officer killing someone with a firearm point blank throw the book no issue. Everyone agrees with that.
I guess what I'm saying is....in obvious and abouslte corruption/abuse of powers we can all agree in that. The differnece is in the in the grey....you have such a poor opinion of officers you think executing a lawful warrant is less justified than people close to criminals or involed in a criminal enterpise saying otherwise.
Everything is not cut and dry. The issue is what you think a huge misjustice can on most cases but justified with what is know at the time. And again this comes down to your poor opinion of officers

Especially unarmed people with their hands up. Or people trying to comply.
Like the nurse who was trying to help his Autistic patient in the street. The patient was playing with a toy truck.
Even though the nurse was lying on the ground with his hands up and explaining the situation they lit him up with M16s.
That can't be tolerated. That needs to be punished with extreme prejudice.
Countless other examples like that.

Are you ever honest?
Are you ever honest?
You guys are as bad as leftists when it comes to hearing facts that don't align with your feelings.
And again it's not just about violence.
It makes my blood boil whenever they step over the line.
Demanding ID when not entitled
Pulling people off their front porch for drinking at their own table? (Scotus has ruled that any state or local statute for public consumption doesn't apply to your front porch)
I'm not willing to reward cops egos at the expense of anyone's rights.

Long story short. She was smashing a drug dealer who had drugs delivered to her home. As the cops close in on the drug ring, simultaneous search and arrest warrants were executed. One was for the girls house. She had a license gun owner over who was not involved (more than likely). Police knock and announce then go in with a battering ram. First cop in gets shot in the thigh and shoots back. Guy next to him shoots back. Taylor is standing next to shooter in hallway and gets smoked. Meanwhile an autistic cop watching the side sliding door starts cranking rounds off into the apartment.
No charges regarding Taylor's death. Autist cop charged for shooting through the apartment and into an apartment next door to Taylor almost striking three in the unaffiliated apartment.

The original story I heard is that police had no warrant, broke into her house illegally and shot her dead without provocation. Amazing to see the spin that some people will put on situations.

How about false arrest?
Planting evidence/lying?
Illegal detainment?
Illegally entering someone's house?
Demanding ID and info they aren't entitled to and either hurting someone or arresting someone and it goes on and on and on.

I realise this is a bit of a philosophical issue, and that many people would not accept 1 person being falsely arrested even if it means 50 innocent lives were saved (a viewpoint that I don't share but I can at least understand). But you can't really deny that any extreme measures that limit the ability of the police to function as they do now will undoubtedly have a net result of more innocent people getting hurt

If someone as a state actor is violating the constitution then that would make him a domestic enemy would it not?
The real question is why do you support misconduct?

I'm havg touble quoting and posting.
With regard to pursuits- whose at fault- police chasing or crims failing to stop?
Accountability goes both ways. But all I see is ' welp police shouldnt of chased...' Purusits are ****ing dangerous. No doubt. But crims drive the way they do ALL THE TIME. Extreme speeds crashing reds. They are the danger.
I agree presever life above all. But when it goes wrong Police arent inciting the behaviour. Crims could care less about tour or your family

Plus way too many of my partners die in these things. Last I saw about half die in crashes.

Again, the problem comes back to accountability. Degrading qualified immunity would go a long way toward ensuring police behave responsibly.

If you listened to them during the Kyle Rittenhouse coverage after you watched the widely available videos you'd think they were describing an entirely different event.
