As my dad said since day 1 (he is a doctor): Pneumonia caused by coronaviruses has been killing old people since the beginning of human history. Its just that we used to call it "pneumonia" and this year we're calling it "COVID".

Our county has been open for nearly 6 weeks and positive cases are steadily dropping with no covid hospitalizations at all. Looks like fearcels are gonna have to come up with a new plan to keep people lathered up.

Honestly, it’s an unpopular/not pc opinion. But the vast majority of people that die from covid that aren’t old as fuk have “underlying conditions”. Meaning severely overweight, diabetes, heart disease, etc.

These people already cast their lot by living incredibly unhealthy lifestyles and we’re on a collision course with premature death. Let the fatties die and let the rest of us go on with our normal lives. Probably save the healthcare industry plenty of billions along the way.

Explained this to both my parents who are MDs and healthcare execs, and got a bertstare.jpg from them basically saying “you’re not wrong, but you aren’t supposed to say that”.

A couple that I know that is in the fitness industry were tested for work clearance and came back as covid negative and antibody positive, and they can both remember feeling slightly under the weather and a little low energy for a couple of days back in March, so they weren’t asymptomatic, but literally described it as having a “mild cold”.

I know there hasn't been enough time to say definitively if there have been long term problems stemming from the virus, but is there anything to justify a concern there for a young healthy person without pre existing conditions?

Nothing has changed. We are still looking at 2-3 million deaths if we try to reach "herd immunity". The economy will not recover with the people who actually have majority of the country's wealth afraid to travel/go out/spend. The country won't be back to normal if you *******s dont wear your masks.

we don't have 200k deaths. Maybe 1/4 of that.

I'd rather be a panicel for a few more months and have my organs intact for remainder of my life, but that's just me. Also, there is a greater than 0% chance this thing can activate something similar to HIV and Aids and kill you in a few years, or be similar to chicken pox/herpes activating as shingles.
