Am I the only one where bb.com mobile on my phone has this like accessibility thing that sucks?

It like turns on the search function then opens a menu then has a navigation link it clicks. Each page takes like 5 seconds for this routine to go through.

I've had helmetless boomer Harley riders tell me how lane splitting is dangerous and stupid but riding without a helmet is perfectly acceptable because only bad riders have accidents.

Yeah I've heard that from motorbike riders too. Like OK dude, I guess if a pick-up pulls out right in front of you in poor weather conditions, you'll just stunt jump over them and be on your merry way, no worries.

Saw gachase visits Democraticunderground (DU).

They essentially ran me off calling me a republican around 2016. I think I got suspended when a woman said she was getting evicted and couldn't feed her cat.... so I offered the advice to give up the cat, move into her car and use gyms for showers. She was asking for a gofundme. They immediately suspended me.

There's also a site called conservative cave where the conservatives are just as nutso.

Spoiler!

I'm a bit antsy about using trains, because they're mobile plague boxes, but there's like ~40 active cases in my whole state so the odds of catching the 'rona are pretty slim. We're still working from home and it looks like that won't change until past Xmas.

What's happening with you *******s and the workplace?

We're almost entirely remote at this time (software). We conduct a lot of meetings through MS Team's, and use Skype as well.

I go into the office for a few things that can't be developed remotely related to audio that can't travel well through a remote desktop, and when I go in it is like a ghost town.

They're trying to decide how to proceed, but will probably be remote for the rest of the year, if not longer. I like it...it's very easy to share your desktop with another developer for collaboration and speak to each other on the phone or through Teams.

Daily traffic in my area is significantly down...and the commute which would be 45 minutes at rush hour is now 25 if I need to go in.

Beating pre covid revenue , still have about 2/3 the staff of pre-covid.

So more sales, less employees.

It’s almost impossible to find employees, even with much huger pay rates, but we are slowly progressing.

It got just a little easier when the $600 stopped, but didn’t bring as many back into the workforce as I expected. People have saved, and got acclimated to not working.

Lowest realistic unemployment year and my professional career by far.

It’s been unreal stressful, but getting a little easier day by day.

Customers have gotten much more violent towards employees.

I was meant to move to a new city to head up an academic think tank at the uni I'm affiliated with, but it got hit really hard with COVID and went back into a strict lockdown. Threw the academic world down there into abject turmoil, lots of jobs uncertain and tensions high.

Thankfully in my line of work/research I could do the work down the bottom of a well, so physical location is not essential to the job at all, really. I just miss the benefit of having a like-minded community of thinkers to interact with in real life.
Back off, Warchild.

Idaho once tried to pass a law requiring a helmet - then a hells angel ran into a cop and claimed he couldn't see because of the helmet and lodged a civil case - they pulled that law fast.

Idaho Motorcycle Helmet Laws

Idaho does not have a law requiring riders to wear helmets. Keep in mind that wearing a helmet may not always look cool but it can save your life. The only law pertaining to wearing a helmet in Idaho is if you’re under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years of age then by law you are required to wear a helmet whenever operating your motorcycle.
There are lots of stupid laws in Idaho - the state doesn't need more governmental hand-holding.

Only listen to news radio, mostly market news.

Never listen to music unless one of the kids or wife is in the car - that’s to be polite.

I’ve prob bought 5-6 albums in my life - mostly cassette tapes when I was young when I tried to make myself like to listen to music- didn’t work.

I prob drive 2-3 hours a day myself - some days longer

I fly private - and those always end up being a nap or in flight meeting, not really a listen to music situation.

Hobbies - teaching my kids stuff, making sure they are good proper conservatives

I guess my main real hobbies lately (other than involvement in businesses) is working some helping politicians- that’s kind of cyclical though, and mostly helping with talking point or argument thoughts, some management.

At the end of the day, businesses are my main hobby after kids.

I couldn’t fathom listening to music while I’m working- Music seems like mostly wasted memory space.

There are rare times when I might listen to some thing - maybe a very long car ride to keep me awake, and some very rare times I listen just to do it - normally reminiscing some old memory of a situation.

Radio Listing- my go to stations are sirius Bloomberg radio, CNBC, fox business.

Anyone know how long Luke L is banned

Edit

If I do listen to music is normally some thing like the 40’s channel , Sinatra, glen miller band, some of the classic 80’s or 90’s bands (Guns N’ Roses , chili peppers. Ac/dc, etc)

I.e I remember listening to under the bridge by red hot chili peppers while getting laid in an alley 2am in Amsterdam with a bar sloot the year after it came out - so I might listen to some thing like it again.
