I absolutely DESPISE the overused trope about a huge thing just about to happen that will be a monumental shift in the protagonist's favor
but it's stopped at the very last second in a shock and awe scene. Gee, the star witness is just about to speak and put Vought in the grave. The propaganda was so crude that it seemed like hack writing to me. I'm definitely not pro Trump or White Nationalism, but that was hacky as phuck, and like others pointed out it seems a bit of a too convenient coincendence that this is dropping close to the election.

The Handmaid's tale (1st season at least) is way better, IMO. At least they outright make it a dystopia in which to explore feminist critiques of society.

I thought the prologue was a metaphor for many things.

- How effective small things like memes are in persuading people's viewpoints.
- How effective social media is in persuading people's viewpoints.
- How easily people can be boxed into an opinion about something that they probably didn't even care about to begin with.

You could apply the scene to what's going on with this idiotic virus. Scare people so much that there's now confrontations about people not wearing masks, lol.

My money is on Edgar or Alistair, the Church leader. Edgar is a Vought head honcho working with St0rmfront, so it's not unreasonable to assume that he got access to top of the shelf V. Would also - possibly - explain why he didn't get fazed by Homelander.

Yeah Edgar 100% is a supe.

He's the only person I saw who seemed completely unphazed by Homelander's threat and I hope they turn him out to be even stronger. Homelander is intense but I'd like there to be an even bigger threat lurking in the background and slowly making its way to the surface.

Haven't watched S2 yet but "Strmfront" is the character's name in the comic and he was a literal straight-up Nazi. So the name and political affiliation are canon.

Why would that make you think that he can't kill Starlight, because Stormf0nt could withstand it?

Stormfr0nt doesn't age, which is an indication that her power is on a different level to Starlight. Also, Black Noir is stronger than Starlight, he was on the verge of killing Starlight until Maeve showed up. Homelander is stronger than Black Noir.
