not an excuse though. Think the guy seemed like a stereotypical reserved beta 'nice guy' with zero dating experience and got in over his head but wasnt enough of a man to do anything about it so it just built over time. 100%Chris is one of those 0 empathy people who put on an act to appear normal to society. The killings were planned and he thought he could just do it and run away with the mistress and start with a clean slate.

He did not care at all about the wife and kids. ZERO. The only sadness he showed was from fear and regret about getting caught and how his life would end up.

My hot take is that the mistress, even if she wasn't good with the killings, was promoting him to leave the family and run away with her.

My bigger hot take is I feel like his parents either knew he was like this OR are shady/abusive themselves. Something is definitely off with his dad. Especially when he started telling his dad about what happened. If I was the dad I'd be bawling my eyes out. The dad seemed stressed but not shocked at what he heard.

That's every true crime show. What we all don't want to admit about true crime is that we start to think like the killer and what we would do if we were in their shoes, how we would react and how we would have done it differently. We would all love the fame and adulation a serial killer gets, but probably 99% of people wouldn't ever consider doing any murder or actually being able to kill someone.

But, that reminds me of that Patrice O'Neal (RIP) comedy special where he starts asking people in the audience of how they've thought of killing their partners and the whole room gets very uncomfortable because the truth is starting to come out. It's an hour long, but it's worth a watch. Hilarious stuff.

This case was on Dateline or 20/20 a few years ago. I'm not sure why Netflix needed to rerun in.

Preemptively.....not saying the chick should've been smothered in her sleep BUT.....that lady was a douche. I don't know what case you've been following. Apart from Chris Watts accusing her of killing the kids with his half confession, he hasn't attack her character from the chit I've seen. Everyone who says she was an arsehole bases it off of her social media posts and ******** streams where she's seen neglecting the kids to go live, emasculating her husband to prop herself up and projecting a false image of wealth. Even the Piggy friend who initially called the cops said that she was a difficult person to be around TO THE COP, and is seen on her ******** streams annoyed and wanting Shanann to get her camera out of her face.

Exactly, a bulk of the movie is just from her ******** feed. Why some people feel the need to document every aspect of their freaking life. I know a girl just like this.

The shot of the oil drums and the last part when he was describing how hey took his girls out made me sick to my stomach.
