What made it so “cringe”?

imagine reading a book to teach you not to give a fukk. contradicts the whole premise

if you don’t want to care, realize the size of the universe and all the matter that inhabits it. life for most people is 60-70 years, which isn’t as long as it seems. age 50+ you are limited in terms of what you can accomplish so most on here have only 20-30 good years left. you work 40-60 hours a week and might have school, work, kids, etc. not much time

life isn’t long and your life is unimportant. that’s all you need to understand to lose your inhibition

Well you need to read the book first, because that is exactly what the book talks about.

Basically that it’s in human nature to give a fuk. And the people that act like they don’t give a fuk are the ones that usually do. You just learn to give a fuk about what really matters, and learn to accept yourself.

I could only read so much on the power of now. Half way through the book I basically felt like the past never mattered.

I tried to read it and it came off as uneducated blabbering with the word phuck and chit every sentence.

I prefer intellectual dialogues like Jordan P

Not giving a fuk is really important for overall wellbeing in life. Just gotta take things in stride, like the chad honkler.

if you didn’t give a fukk you’d descend into de realization. the human ego is what motivates people to do absolutely anything. most people who truly don’t give a fukk about anything are in prison or commit suicide. so it’s not possible unless you wanna be a bum.

that book is pure cope

Well obviously you haven’t read the book, because it says pretty much exactly what you are saying. And it’s not advocating being a bum at all.
