Need help, dark times
Update on post #34
Hey brahs, you could say I'm going through the worst time of my life right now
- sick on and off since feb, doctors suspect lymphoma (cancer)
- dont go out much if at all due to above
- ex (wife material with some big flaws) who i dumped but started missing her badly after almost a year, texted her and she told me she's in a complicated relationship and basically keeping my hopes up, decided to NC for now although I miss her so bad
- overly emotional due to all of the above, never been this emotional in my life. Used to believe i can get through anything but now i just dont see it anymore
- cried for about 2 minutes today for the first time in years
- read about chemo and that theres a chance it can cause infertility among the 100 other side effects
- feel the loneliest i've ever felt, and i don't feel lonely easily. dont even want to see friends
give me some kind/alpha words brahs in my hour of need

damn bro that's some hard ****. they can't test to confirm a diagnosis?
also that ex/kids stuff is normal when faced with your mortality.
but that type of cancer has a pretty good prognosis... and if it nukes your jimmies, you have an excuse to hop on dat dere, eh? Just go spunk in a clinic if you want to save your sperm.

That's some rough stuff there boyo. Not much I can say except don't give up the fight. Look up Dennis71's cancer thread...I think that was him. Think he still posts around here too and may have a better perspective as someone who's been through it before.

Btw be careful with the sloot. Sit and have a good think, are you crawling back to her because of the 10 other points you listed? From the outside it seems like you are focusing on her as some kind of solution to the other major issues you are facing. Never put your faith in a sloot to get you through anything ded srs. Yikes brother I'm really sorry to hear about what you're presently going through. Luckily, the brotherhood of the Misc is here to help.
Your immediate priority is on your health and wellness. Focus on the cure, and don't worry about complications or any such nonsense. It's going to be an uphill strugglebut one that you need to take. This is your journey now.Chemotherapy is not fun, but it will be worthwhile in the end.
Never forget that you have so much potential. The negative thoughts you're harboring are illusory and can be brought to heel. But we really do need to start treatment for your lymphoma here.
I want you to remember that it's perfectly normal to cry. Let the emotion wash over you, and take that moment of clarity which follows to uplift you and provide you with determination. You are going to make it brah.
It's when we are at our weakest that we find our strength.
Good luck and please don't hesitate to send a PM.

You're gonna be alright OP, don't let the negatives get you down brah. Focus on yourself and find ways to be happy. A good mood is the first step to improving your health.
Also, look into a vegan diet and CBD oil, I know plenty of people that have gotten rid of all types of cancers just by using these two things.

First thing I think is you need to confirm whether it's really cancer that's the cause of this.

i really really don't want to be infertile, having kids a bit later in life has been one of my top priorities for a long time. if it comes to it i will try the sperm bank route

See sig OP.
Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Knock the fertility thing out by freezing your sperm. If it's one of the effects dragging you down, thats a viable option.
If you legit have un-diagnosed cancer, you need to make an appointment - even if out of state with less restrictions.
Contact your insurance company and see where you are covered.
Having some definitive evidence can help ease your mind into the next path, or rule out what's causing your sickness in the first place.

Your ex is an ex for a reason. Why are you wasting your mental health on her? If I'm going to die last thing on my mind is some sloot. Health is everything, **** worrying about some sloot, your health should be the only thing of concern.

Damn son that's a rough draw. I had a family member with lymphoma and it was tough. When will you know for sure?
There is a miscer here named Dennis71 or something like that who had an extremely bad diagnosis and he ended up having to have a bone marrow transplant. He's cancer free now though and talking about chasing women on the misc

Trust me when I say this: The mind has an uncanny ability to morph mind, body and spirit. Stay positive and hopeful-- change your mindset. Keep your eyes on and focus on a world where you are free of these issues; meaning, look past this stuff (in the sense that you know you're going to overcome these things) and see and visualize yourself in that place, and being a better man for having gone through it all in the first place. Basically, stay positive. I know that sounds cliche and easier said that done, but a complete paradigm shift is what is required right now. If you have to go to war (chemo, treatment, go NC on ex, etc.) then so be it, but go to war, face it head on, and visualize a positive outcome.

I know a little about hard times and darkness.
I've shared this video before not too long ago, but don't know if you saw it.
I'm not out yet myself and I flip between feeling like I've got this and feeling totally defeated and hopeless. Some days I'm just existing, some days I'm searching for answers, and on some I make a little forward progress.
- take it one step at a time
- be kind to yourself
- control what you can control
- seek out positive/uplifting content
- when it just sucks remember this too shall pass
- try not to isolate yourself completely
I know how hard that last one is. I withdraw too. I don't get many calls or texts, but sometimes I will still dodge them.
Knowing what you should do =|= doing it.
Hang in there and try to envision a good life for yourself when you get to the other side.

Very sorry you're in that situation op. Not sure if you're religious or not but prayers and positive vibes go out and I hope it's not as serious as you and your doctors believe it to be, but if it is I hope you make the quickest of recoveries and can get back to your normal life asap. Nothing wrong with the emotion, it is a trying time right now and I hope you don't focus on your ex too much and instead focus on those who are already there for you.
