weak sear boyo. get a screaming hot pan (Glug of oil like grapeseed or canola) sear the fk out of it. toss a knob of butter with garlic cloves and thyme and baste the fuk out of it. then eat.

dont over think it with the sous vide boyo.

looks dry. should’ve used the juice from the steak, butter, garlic to put on the rice and meat

also im a left handcel so cutlery being on the right side is a bit of a sting too but im trying to look besides that
veggie placement also looks weird

it all looks like it's there because it "should" be there.. no love or something? i dunno man something looks off i wouldn't trust this meal
lmao wtf. I just put it all on a plate, threw the plate on my island and sat down to eat it. Decided to snag a couple pics before digging in.

Yeah, my sear was kinda weak. That was my only let down with it. Still tasty as fuk.

Looks good. Did you dry the steak thoroughly before you seared it?

Yeah. Well, I guess "thoroughly" is relative, but I dried it quite a bit. I should have seared with butter, but I don't have any, so I used olive oil.

SOUS VIDE GANG UP IN THIS BITCH! We taking over the kitchen.

Pro tip: pat it dry and then chuck it in the fridge for 20 minutes before searing if you're not in a hurry. This will make sure it dries completely and cools enough to allow you to scorch the chit out of the outside.

Get that pan hot as the fires of ass before going to town on that beef. If your avocado or grapeseed oil isn't threatening to set off the smoke detector, it ain't hot enough. Keep your melted butter separate until you are ready to baste.

Looks decent for your first time, but as others mentioned it needs a better sear and looks a little dry. How long did you cook it for? As long as it tasted good, it doesn't matter what it looks like though.

Agreed. I cook my sh*t at like 600 degrees for 4 minutes per side. Get a good steak and it starts spraying fat juice everywhere all char'd up.

Unfortunately I had to cook it a little long since I had to leave the house for a bit. 3 hours at 130. It tasted hnnng. Tbh the sear could look better, but eating char is for cavemen, so I'm okay with how it was.
