How long did it take to get all that stuff out there? You get the longer lumber and siding out on a trailer?

Ya, lots of fun. My goal was to make the inside of mine nice enough my wife would stay there a lot.

My skinning room is going to have stainless countertops. The plusses of being in cottage construction and getting free chit. The flooring, metal roof, windows, cabinets, bed etc were all free. The interior wood was seconds from a mill, and cost me $200 for all of it, the Wood stove was $200, and I paid cost for framing material and insulation. Plus I have an extra window the exact same as the big one in case it ever breaks

Generally two to three feet. It compresses down, so the worst year I recall had 11 feet total recorded snowfall, but it compressed down so there was never more than four feet total, five in places. Lake effect snow. The deer would jump off the trails and just stop . That year killed a lot of deer

Snowmobile toboggan. The floor section was done in 3 pieces 24' long. A guy spray foamed them in my driveway, I brought them out by barge and winched them up the hill on an atv trailer lol spray foam prevents cavities for rodents to get in. The interior is mouse proof

how hard is it to get new water to it?

do you drink that water or is it only for washing your hands? how long does it last until it goes bad?

Water is pumped up and fills barrels but is filtered first for sediment. A capful of bleach is put in the filter housing. Water is then drinkable.

Pipe from lake self drains cuz gravity, so never freezes.

Pumped up with small Honda water pump. In winter cut hole in ice. In open water, intake line.

Eventually I will put a small propane direct vent heater in to keep skinning room where the water is just above freezing so water is good when I leave

On spread but that is super cool. What kind of wood stove do you have? I'm assuming with the size of the cabin you don't need a large stove, but if you ever want ones that burn overnight and heat like crazy, I can point you to some of ours at Canadian Tire or Kent, The Home Depot, etc.

Nice you can get there a nice rug in that area to make it nice and warm and so on. If you need any tips or whatever pm me I'm actually an architect when I'm not full time trolling. Ya, my wife can worry about the interior decor. I have a seven point euro mount for one wall, and some wolf hides for another. Not a lot of room, but will figure it out. I just dont want it to look cluttered.

Mirin those pics. Siding will be cedar, but stained grey to make it look a bit low key. Have all the material out there.

Land was zero. It is a trapping line cabin, so the land is crown I only own the cabin.

Nice. I work with a lot of architects. i have the systems down. The floor is pretty dark. A light rug seems like it would be a bad idea, although it should be easy to keep clean. I really didnt have a plan for decor. Most people plywood the walls and are happy to have it lol. Just so happens I did V joint t and g pine for less money.
