REWARDSMAXXING your CREDIT CARDS

I want to update my Credit Cards for RewardsMaxxing. Instead of opting for the heaviest metal card to impress sloots, impress them by traveling or getting money back.

There are TWO Main types of RewardsMaxxing:TravelMaxxing andCashMaxxing.

There are various blends created by credit card companies to suit your personal spending habits.

Here are two websites ranking the best RewardsMaxxing Cards:
https://www.forbes.com/advisor/credi...-credit-cards/

https://www.nerdwallet.com/best/credit-cards/cash-back

Anybody on the MISC have these cards?
I only have an TravelMaxxing Card.

I'm thinking of adding the Citi Double Cash Card (CashMaxxing) since I haven't traveled in the last 3 years and my points keep piling up.
But I've never heard of anyone having a Cash Back Credit Card.

Anybody have a Cash Back Credit Card? Is it a waste/scam?

I'm a fan of my Amex platinum for travel perks. Also nice to have $15 on Uber a month free plus several other subscriptions for free.

Only use the black cards on corporate account crew

Don’t waste your time unless you have one and spend 250,000 per annum.

I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve - if you like travel, it pays for itself pretty damn quickly.
“The Misc. is a stone-faced Uncle Sam with Popeye’s forearms and a cocked pistol in each hand. It’s a screeching bald eagle with a foreign Bad Thing in its talons. It’s everything that defines America’s bro culture, magnified and weaponized. But it’s deeper than that.“

Why you gotta fraud every thread about $$$. It isn't even like you make it believable you just spout random nonsense...your LARP isn't even remotely convincing.

To answer OP:

Chase Sapphire reserve gives a nice initial bonus and points go far for buying flights or hotels. They give either $150 or $300 of reimbursed travel expenses yearly which is nice. You get like 4.5% back on meals purchased, travel expenses, and I think grocery stores too now assuming you use points to book flights/hotels. They also paid for my global entry which was nice too. Priority pass membership is decent as well, but used to be a lot better than it has been the last year or 2. Also gives like $50 free food if you use door dash and I think it has good value for lyft or uber shyt too.

Amex plat is ok as well although its better if you actually pay for travel expenses with it and buy other stuff with rewards. Centurion lounges are fukking dope though. Otherwise not really worth it.

DO NOT KEEP THESE CARDS LONGER THAN 1 YEAR UNLESS YOU GET THE YEARLY FEE WAIVED! It isn't hard to do especially this year. I'm not certain they'll 100% waive it, but even at $100 its a great deal(see the reimbursed travel expenses you get yearly which is greater than $100).

Ah, have been debating it for a while now. Was gonna get it pre-covid since I also travel often for work. Needa google up some lounge reviews, the free food/booze while waiting for my flight tho is pretty enticing.

I've got the Chase Southwest and Chase Freedom Unlimited.

SW - this card was totally worth it when I was flying 2-3 flights a week and I really stacked up the points. I don't travel but a couple times a year, might end up replacing it with something different. I do use this to buy stuff for work when I need something immediately vs waiting for a PO though, so I'm still getting plenty of points. I haven't paid for a flight for personal use in 10 years, because of all the points (a lot of the points were just from my SW account in general).

FU - I put all my reoccurring bills on this card and pay it off monthly. The cash back is really nice to have, even though I haven't touched it. They just changed up the points on it and it's even better than when I got the card a few years ago. I do hear the BoA card is better though, from multiple friends.

What if you haven’t traveled in many years because work has been busy, and the airline points just pile up into a hoard you can’t possibly use?

Then you have kids and you’re not going to travel for a very long time.

Cash rewards are never worth it unless you’re in a jam for cash?

I was too until March 2020. Cancelled mine and just rocking with the AmEx rose gold now, and chase sapphire preferred for a daily driver when i run into a vendor that doesn't take amex (very rare).

I'm product changing the CSP though, it's not even worth it anymore so will likely jump to the Chase Freedom Unlimited.

Lounges are overrated.

You have different tiers:

1. Plebs and normies - rubbish food and smelly people

2. Airline memberships - rubbish food, smelly people and more smelly people

3. Business class - lots of Karen’s and Timmy’s. Food is ok. Showers are a must when coming straight from the bar

4. First class lounge - is ok as you have your own space/ room. They will suck you’re dick here

Cheers

Capital One 2% cash back. Use the cash towards your balance. If you have a business where you spend money on products and can use credit cards (if there are no better cash rebates with the vendors), this is the best I've found.

Hmm well that's a good point. I guess because I travel a few times a year (mostly to see family) it's worth the extra 25% points are worth compared with getting cash. Also not to mention the horrible rate of return you get by converting your points to Amazon rewards (about .8 for every point).

I get it though. If you're in a bind cash is king.
