Justified was another FX show, Timothy Olyphant is the main character. Walt Goggins (Shane from The Shield) was another one of the main people on the show.

Talking about Goggins’ range, how about him playing Venus van Damme in SOA?

Forest Whitaker kills it in his season, hes one of the only black actors to win an Oscar (1 out of 5 iirc). weird the show is so underrated. probably the network it on.

Southland is the best cop show ever made. Guarantee you they had a couple of career cops with 20+ years of experience advising. As far as an accurate portrayal of actual policing it blows every other show out of the water. You watch that series and you at least have an idea of what policing is like day to day IRL. No other cop show (Save COPS or LIVEPD) comes close.

UK brah, can confirm watched it week by week from the day it dropped.

As a huge deadwood and indeed Olyphant fan it was a natural progression.

Raylan is a certified badass and it's in the top ten.

Shield is WAY better. Vic Mackey and the strike team were badass. Gay black cop in jail for life for murder.

SOA's last season was unwatchable.

I've seen the 1st season of Friday Night Lights. Minka Kelly and Connie Britten are smoke shows.

Yellowstone is my current favorite.

Yellowstone was flirting with The Shield as my number 1 but season 3 was kinda meh for me.

Also Justified is great. Not quite as good as the shield but a very well done show.
Always blows my mind rewatching The Shield and Justified seeing how many actors who are big(ish) now were in them.

Also everyone mentioned Goggins range, he’s truly a talented actor. Brb old man in The Righteous Gemstones.
I remember an interview he did talking about the newer tomb raider and mentioned how buff the main actress was as if he’d never had any size at all.
He wasn’t huge in the Shield but was definitely in decent shape.

Watched it a few months back on a whim.

One of the best TV shows I've ever seen. Totally underrated. Hell, could almost call it basic cable Sopranos. It laid the groundwork for Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, etc.

10/10 show. Loved every minute. (Besides the "prequel" episode, which sucked.)
