I remember when that 7 page thread about the black chick being the new 007 and everyone was crying. Then they release like a 2:30 minute trailer and Bond was in the entire thing and she was only in like 17 seconds and then everyone stopped crying.

i dont care either way. I havent cared about james bond like ever in my life. I seen a few, thought they were cool but i dont give af. but if i had a choice between her and say idris Elba who was rumored for the role, i'd go with Idris

The realism of the male action roles is no less BS.

I've never understood when people find it hard to believe that a woman can't beat up a man, but have no problem with the realism of 1 dude killing a dozen armed men that break into his house. John Wick would have been dead in the first action scene if it was realistic, but we don't watch action films for realism... Right?

You're talking cinematic ultra-realism here. Even in a fictional world, a superhero movie, a strong male character is always going to be more realistic and believable when dealing with strength and combat. Please don't try think just because it's fiction that all sensibility is thrown out the window.

Of course people know a 160lb Pierce Brosnan isn't going to beat up 6 huge Russian soldiers. That's erroneous.

If a female is being portrayed as a soldier, a fighter, as somehow more physical and combative as every man in the movie then she has to have some weakness. Examples of believable roles where women were the lead of an original franchise - Aliens and Terminator.

Charlice Theron's attempt at an assassin movie failed. I mean she's beating up 300lb "Serbs" in the staircase, and of course she has to have male stylized haircuts and be a lesbian. They won't concede ANY point, that's why it's not believable.

They have completely lost how to write proper characters where politics don't come first let alone the ability to start a fresh, innovative franchise. All these female remakes failed for the very same reason, you insult your audience by pretending they characters came naturally.


Look in the gaming industry. Female on the front cover for a WW2 game. lol, how many died in battle again? Some developers/creators aren't completely idiotic, ROCKSTAR summarizes it best.

“That’s not to say that we couldn’t or we wouldn’t. This character set is just what came to us: it wasn’t, ‘we’ve got X and Y so we need Z’. We weren’t trying to do it off a checklist – I don’t think that will ever give you something that’s believable or engaging.” <---- And in Hollywood atm they are all about XYZ restrictions solely because of politics. Contributing to lesser authenticity to your normal viewer.

That's why their plots and characters are 100x more believable, because it's not artificial and pre-planned to pander your usual potatoes. Sadly creators with what was just basic common sense in the past are being pushed out of entertainment because yes, the usual retard political side and their childlike ideology.

The issue isn't a woman beating up a men in a film, the issue is when the character is written and portrayed poorly like you just said.

If you re-read the post that I was replying to you'll see that I was replying to someone who was only talking about women beating up men, not bad portrayals of female characters in action films, like you are talking about.

So it doesn't seem like we have any disagreement, and I'm puzzled why you wrote that to me.
