Get the fuk outta here, that dolomite movie was beautiful

And that was the point of the uncut gems movie. You were supposed to be annoyed & at your wits end with the character.

Idk, I never heard a thing about Alita when I watched it and I was pleasantly surprised, maybe it's because I watched it after that Immortal Engines movie which had the opposite effect.

Trial of the Chicago 7

Thought it was gonna be some biased political bull chit but was very crazy and very true to life with what happened.

Makes it even crazier when you realise it all actually happened the way it was shown in the movie.

I've put off watching that because I can't stand Sacha Baron Cohen even though I know he's a good actor when he wants to be.

How big is his role in the movie?

The "Dredd" reboot from 2012

After your second viewing you realize it doesn't try to be something it's not, zero SJW aspect, solid believable action, good acting

Karl Urban is an under-casted actor, he's talented

Silent Hill was also pretty decent, especially considering how sh!tty most video-game based movies are.

Just using movies in the last decade, I was really surprised at Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. My family popped it in at a holiday I think. Knew nothing about the comic at all but turned out to be pretty damn entertaining. Also solidified my crush on Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

For me personally in recent memory a movie that I thought would be utter ass and ending up being really good that I liked was Detective Pikachu. Just found it really funny with Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu.

Another movie I could say would be Knives Out. I thought it would be some like cheesy Clue? movie but ended up being an extremely good movie.

The last movie that I saw that I thought would be ass but ended up being worse was Birds of Prey, the Harley Quinn movie. Legit fell asleep as did the girl I brought with me. We woke up at like the end and were like eff this movie, and we left.

Maybe Game Night? Was better than expected had some laugh out loud moments, but I wouldn't say it's a really good movie lol.

I watched that movie a couple of nights ago, it's weird but she was a smoking hot emo chick

He has a big role and he is the comedic touch but it’s not pushing any agenda, he just plays a hippy, faults and all.

That Netflix Will Smith movie with the orcs and other fantasy chit in a modern day city. Can't think of the name off the top of my head. I thought it was going to be terrible, but I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

edit: I have another one. The Pan's Labyrinth trailer is absolute dogchit and I thought was going to be horrible. Turned out to be one of my all time favorite movies.

Bright is the name of the Will Smith movie. It was much better than I thought it'd be

The Matrix - Thought it would be a stupid movie but turned out to be amazing

Dredd (2012) - Awesome action movie

John Wick - One of the GOAT action movie series

Balboa - 80 year old Rocky fighting was surprisingly good

Spy - Thought it would be stupid Melissa McCarthy movie but its hilarious

As above, so below. Thought it was just gonna be another dumb found footage movie. Ended up being pretty good. I had no idea going into it that it was based on Dante’s Inferno
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.
