not really illegal in those fields. Plus, opinion does not matter. Almost every system in the world is massively corrupt. You need to fight smart.

guilty on getting answers wrong on purpose just to throw off the trail in case chit hit the fan.

Studying, watching vids to comprehend info better, visiting the professor after hours(office hours not that nightcap chit) and having to cheat is Totally Different from just straight cheating, not opening up a book, got your headphones in during lecture, etc. Can count on my hand how many times i've done the former.

some STEM programs such as nursing where a 75% is the borderline, and if you got a 74% you fail, you gonna have some people cheating here and there on an exam where they're studying but are at a 73%, where they'd pass in other classes, but that's a D on your transcript. But with programs such as that you still gotta pass NCLEX, which you can't cheat whatsoever. So in a way it comes back at you.

LOL@ people bashing on people's morals as a whole for cheating a few times. brb cheated in a class at college that was whatever, so they won't have what it takes to accomplish chit they truly have a passion for.

DrewDarden with some solid posts in here. Smh at most of this thread though.

While I agree with your general premise that some people are going after that 4.0 with motives other than learning, and that good memorization can equate to success on college exams....I do not agree that actually learning the material vs memorizing it is a guaranteed way to not ace an exam.

I think someone that spends their time actually learning a subject- say calculus- in depth and on a conceptual basis, will find the exams to be quite easy and trivial at the university level. The problem is most students don’t tend to do this, and just go the memorization route.

Where does the cheating stop boys?

Do you cheat at a powerlifting meet by wearing illegal briefs underneath your singlet?

Do you cheat on your girlfriends or wives?

Do you shoplift from Walmart?

Do you steal cars? Those are typically less expensive than a university degree.

Or are your deceptions solely aimed toward your university, your employer, and to yourselves?

like i said before. kinda hard to talk about without knowing exactly what they were cheating on or how they cheated.

but in general, why would somebody "cheat" and put themselves at risk if they understood the material or could easily do it?

edit: so maybe you have an A student who forgot an assignment was due, so he goes and looks something up, copies it, etc. i still think for an A student that would be an outlier scenario. in general, an a student would be more prepared normally. i don't think they'd normally be putting themselves in that situation; to jeopardize their education, risk getting exposed, tossed out, etc.

We live in a world where elitists are the first to cheat the system. Corporations exist to forego accountability. If it's good enough for the goose, it's good enough for the gander.

Why would I spend 45 hours of in class time, plus whatever studying must be done, for a mandatory "general" course that I have no use or interest for?

Whatever time I save on irrelevant courses by being "unethical" (lol), I invest in brainstorming business ideas and side hustles, mastering useful concepts and getting extra physical activity in.

Much better use of my time if you ask me.

Didn’t expect this to go this long.

You’re basically breaking a contract when you cheat in college. Whether or not you choose to fraud is up to you, but you best know what the hell you’re doing once you get into your particular field.

I really hope people in med school don’t have the same mentality as the majority of this thread.

there are tons of them. when you are pre med for example, a difference of 0.1 in your gpa can determine whther you you make it to the next step in the admissions process. same applies to any post grad program with high admission standards.

When you consider how easy it is to cheat in a typical university setting, it is easy to see why the risk is worth it for some. Of course, there are others who dont consider the potential consequences enough to dissuade themselves from cheating as well

nice slippery slope you got going there. are you going to add murdering your competition to that list as well? cuz you know, cheating on a test can totally lead to that

If I didn’t know you were serious by your other posts, I would have thought this post was satirical.

By completely misunderstanding my post, you managed to ironically do the thing you’re accusing me of by posting your own slippery slope (thinking I might compare your crimes to murder next).

I’m not asserting that cheating your way through college is a “gateway drug” to stealing cars. I’m asserting that they’re already the moral equivalent to each other.

In other words, sealing cars is not a lesser offense to cheating your way through college, so why not just do it?

That was my question to you and other cheaters ITT.

Why not just do it?

I’ll answer for you: you’re afraid of getting caught. That’s the only difference. Every argument you guys have made about cheating is also a perfect reason steal cars (excessively expensive, why work when you can dedicate that time to more valuable like learning job skills, etc.). The only difference is you’re too afraid. I don’t do it, and several others in this thread don’t do it, because it’s not the right thing to do. You and others in this thread don’t do it because you are afraid to get caught.

Period.

Anyone with half a brain knows the getting a BA, particularly in the USA, is one of the biggest scams in human history. You'd think that by going to college, you genuinely want to learn the information that is being fed to you. The fact that so many people still feel the need to cheat really exemplifies how worthless 99% of 'degrees' are.

If your goal isn't to specialize then you're wasting your time. Lol @ "going to college to expand your mind and learn" in 2020. Most colleges now have become radical leftist indoctrination centers. As much hate as there is for tradies on this forum, you're seriously better off recommending that your kids go to trade school instead of college. They might actually learn a useful and helpful skill.

Imagine paying HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars to be fed this anti-science rhetoric.

The vast majority of college educations don’t cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Be that as it may, I agree that the cost can be excessive. But the market is adapting, and online/remote options are bringing down the cost and changing the game.

For example, I’m starting graduate school in Spring. One of the schools that I looked at (not one that I’m going to attend) was Marshall University.

For a remote master’s program, even out of state, they’re charging $399 per credit hour, Which adds up to less than $12,000 total. In person, it’s nearly double that.

You get out of education what you put into it. You can say that doing it online is garbage, or you can put effort into it and get as much out of it as you can. You definitely get more out of putting effort into an online program they do cheating your way through an on-campus program.

That's nice to hear. I'm also going to go out on a limb and assume that going to grad school at an older age, when you're more 'seasoned' as an individual, is a much different experience. I was the same. I was a bit older than the other people in my program.

Good luck with your graduate training. I think I recall reading that you were in education, is that correct?

You’re right about the age. I’m 40. And yes, I’m a teacher. Somebody already called me out for teacher bias in this thread lol.

The graduate program I decided on is history. The goal is to teach at a community college level.

I’m already thinking about going crazy and getting a Pd.D. after.

You are advocating for a high-level fraud and deception. You do not have moral superiority because you are stealing a diploma rather than a car.

Good stuff. I hope it all goes well for you. Community college seems like it would be nice to teach, to have that perception that you might be influencing young minds in some meaningful way.

going by your logic, the only reason i wouldn't murder anyone i'm competing with for a job is because i'd get caught?

it seems i misunderstood your post because i thought there would be no way anyone in their right mind could possibly draw a moral equivalency between cheating and committing crime. i was also under the impression that other posts you've made in the past were reasonable.

i think the fact that you are a teacher yourself is clouding your judgement. or maybe it's just a misplaced sense of self-righteousness.

I’m already thinking about going crazy and getting a Pd.D. after.
it took 151 posts for this guy to muster up the courage to reveal his cards. Non-STEMcel... history graduate major. The puzzles pieces are coming together marvelously.

I haven’t been hiding anything. I’m the most honest poster on this forum. Srs.

If you don’t like history, that’s your business. I never pretended to be into math and science.

Couldn’t you look up the curriculum for one of these programs and then just buy the textbooks that they outline in that curriculum and then read those texts, write essays on your own etc like you were actually in the class. If you are worried about the instructional value of learning from a prof I’m sure there are a ton of free online courses on history.

The problem is you can’t do this. You need to fork out 10s of thousands of dollars so you can even have a chance as a prof at a community college.
Well in a way, it’s like any other business transaction. When I have that master’s degree, I instantly get paid more for the job I’m doing right now. It also qualifies me to teach at a post secondary level. Both of which are desirable to me. Both of which are also worth the $12,000 to me. And the one I went with is actually more like $20,000. It’s a much more well-regarded school than the one previously mentioned.

Still worth it (to me).

Imagine paying 10s of thousands to get a diploma and not take advantage of the good things college has to offer: tons of sloots.

Instead focusing on learning books, that you will remember until you take an exam and then forget it the day after.

Literally cheating is for the smartcels of college, if you are a cuckcel you probably study all day in room, paying 40k for diploma where you learnt nothing.

Literally those cuckcels never end up as CEOs only as little 9-5 cuck bois following their masters orders on how to copy paste in excel all day for $50k/yr.

What you do brah, is you sign up to a program or course, then you see who the teacher is, send him an email along those lines:

"Hey Mr. dipchit, I'm thinking about signing up to a few classes and this one sparked my interest, I was wondering if you can send me the lesson plan from the previous year"

When you receive it you cancel or change classes and look up the material on your own.

I'm in school right now and only allowed one class of my choice during my program so I've done this for 5 classes so far.
