Using those fibers on my bald spot on my crown is pretty effective. I don’t see why continuing to use the hair building fibers wouldn’t be effective. All you need is hair around the perimeters to block the fibers in. It’s the sides and hairline you can’t really use those hair building fibers. It may be (I dont know) but the rest of the non-transplanted hair is not. So you would have a transplanted hairline, and then may continue to lose the hair that is behind the follicles that have been transplanted. Which would look even worse than a Norwood/normal balding.

Already got it in the mail just waiting on syringes. Test levels were in the mid 400’s range and the “wink-wink” doctor said “Yea let’s raise that up to 1100” so I said fuk yea I’m in. Might freeze my sperm just in case. I think 5 years of night shifts and 2 bicycle rides from a decade ago are catching up to me. I’d imagine my DHT levels will go up so I’ll try to lower them by other means than finasteride.

Edit: sorry for thread hijack.... ive been off this site forever and too lazy to make a user name again after I stopped posting years ago. I saw this thread and felt i needed to share. Good luck OP.... I think you'll regret the visible scars in the back of the head with the plan you have. No Fin? and hopping on on TRT?... I think you should reconsider some aspects of your plan, dont make this wasteful. Either way, wish you well brah.
31 yo.... big forehead crew my whole life. Dont have the typical MPB ( thinning+ crown), but definitely have receding androgenic hairline (the classic M, not TOO obvious yet with my hairstyle). I am about a Norwood 2.5 to 3.0. Ive always thought about turkey and etc, but the more i thought of it.... its so unrealistic and tedious to plan for me. Imagine traveling across the world for a surgical procedure and being handled by some tech poking your head 6K times manually, with no respect to the hair follicle. What if chit goes wrong? What recourse do i have? .... fook it, I make enough money to just pony up and make a good attempt to get it done right.
I'm getting FUE with Dr. James Harris( definitely leader in HT's ). They use a machine for precision and chit. Not trying to have a scar in the back of my head should I change my mind and hop on TRT in my late 40s and bic my head. This has always been in the back of my thoughts, but as you know.... you just move on, only to have it pop up whenever you see the hair. Anyways, I had no idea this doctor was a block away from one of my jobs, can't get more convenient than that.
He gave me an option for FUT/FUE.... obviously, FUE was the way to go for me and my age. He also asked about shaving donor site or not ( he can remove hairs without cutting them, so you dont look goofy leaving .... but i figure that was not necessary as my hair grows fast, plus it was another 2$ a graft, no thx jeff.
Also, Ive always been anti Finastride... but i said screw it. I gave in for the sake of doing this right and I have no sides yet. I still have high libido. I take 1mg ED now, comes out to 3$/mo.
Why am i doing this? because its been bothering me. Im sick of styling my hair a certain way. Better to be proactive now, than continue to put it off and spend a fortune later in life, when its hella noticeable i got something done. FUT makes more sense financially for some... but surgical scars ( MAINLY COSMETIC ) are not alpha... HTs in general dont seem alpha, but good hairline is a good hairline and......well, thats alpha. lol
The DR and I talked about Turkey, he gave me some partners he would trust doing a good procedure if anyone is interested. Im sticking to overpaying in the USA, its worth it to me.
I attached a picture for the sake of science.... hope this helps anyone contemplating it.
we reckon 1500-1600 grafts come mid January 2021. Oh btw, the hairline drawing was just done as an example in case anyone critiques it. I asked him to quickly draw how an inch or so would look before my first consult was over.

I had a fue last year ask me anything you wanna know
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.
No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

I know not everyone can do art well, except why do surgeons who do essentially one procedure their entire lives not know how to angle the hair and arrange the densities to look at least respectable? I only see hair transplants in even lines angled forward at a 30 degree angle or something. No natural hair has ever looked like this.
Why can they not angle it backwards in the front, with inconsistent density? I cannot understand how they cannot replicate natural hair. How many factors exist? Density, location, angle? How does a correct answer for what natural hair can look like along these dimensions not exist?

Also, for anyone curious about Minox.
I tried the liquid a year or two ago... gave me a skin irritation big time days after i used it. I rubbed it on my bare temples though ( not what its for )
HT doctor told me most likely thats from the solution the Minox is suspended in, and not the actual Minox. He told me to do the foam instead. He also said the foam > liquid. 1 application of the Foam = to 2 liquids.

longterm it's a chit solution
longterm it's a chit solution
you're setting yourself up for failure. Clearly your hair is sensitive to DHT, without aiding in making them less sensitive... youre going to go bald, even more fast with TRT, and have ****ty hair again, only this time its going to be with an unnatural hairloss pattern....with scars.

Turkey was my plan at first( lol at plan... been saying this chit for 5-8 years), but i realized its too tedious to plan and I don't have any recourse should chit go wrong or i need a touch up.... decided to go to a DR who is leader in HT and he happened to be local AF to me (Denver). If anyone is interested in Doctors he recommended in turkey, he gave me 2 names. Im sure theres plenty of great examples in Turkey... but its the traveling for a procedure for me.
I paid about double for peace of mind and convenience local to me in US. Put my 5K deposit and scheduled it for mid jan. The rest gets paid day of surgery.

I hate to be that guy, but not really, if you've been saving for years in order to scrounge up $14k, maybe you're not in the best financial position to be getting cosmetic surgery.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

So it went about as good as it could have possibly gone. Their main doctor/surgeon Dr Alpeter wasn’t supposed to be in for some reason and I agreed to have this other highly qualified doctor lead the surgery and his team of technicians. I get there and saw Dr Alpeter in his office and he couldn’t have been any nicer. Was glad I was getting him to do it as originally planned. He used a sharpie on my hairline and showed me where he was gonna fix that part. I was like holy sh!t (in my head) if that’s where my hairline is gonna be then I’m psyched.
They took me into this big room with about 5-6 microscopes on the table to my right with technicians all ready to separate the grafts after extraction. They numbed my head up so damn well I didn’t feel even the slightest bit of pain. None whatsoever. Even when I could hear his scalpel literally cutting away the skin/donor hair strip. I just didn’t feel jack sh!t and even fell asleep for about a half hour.
They get to the end and do my PRP injections to help the follicles grow nice and good. He finally gave me a mirror and I couldn’t believe how good it looked. I mean obviously the hairs didn’t even grow in yet but I could see where my new hairline would be and it was dark from all the skin trauma, which gave the hair the effect of being much fuller.
They got 3,150 grafts from the strip they cut from my head. I’m at like a #3 in hair thickness on the buzzer scale and you can hardly even see the scar. It’s so easily covered up that I could definitely go down to a #2 buzzer length and still nobody would know. This doctor was a goddamn artist. He basically put grafts over the entire middle of scalp from the hairline to the crown. So even if I lose all my regular hair that’s still there, there’s transplanted hair everywhere so really not much of a concern, at least for a long time.
On the ride home, the numbing agents, local anesthetic were starting to wear off really fast and the pain set in. I felt the tightness in the back of my head so I took two of those Vicodin’s they gave me. Worked pretty well. It really hit me when I got home that I just had a top notch hair transplant procedure performed by a top notch doctor/company because I was way too lackadaisical and unconcerned for my own good going into this.
Doctor gives me a phone call asking how I’m doing and how they’re gonna keep following up with me because the next few days are crucial with applying these sets of hair moisturizers and shampoos. Then in 7-10 days I go back to get the stitches out.
I know it’s early yet, and it’s gonna take a good full year to really notice the full results. But I will at least have my before and after pics up by today. I still can’t believe how well this doctor hooked me up, stitching up my scar like a goddamn artist, making the sutures all over my head painlessly for the follicles to be inserted into, etc. goddamn I really made the right decision going with the FUT strip method here in America instead of rolling the dice on a trip to Turkey. Best money ever spent.
Pics will be in later today or neg me to death.

Pics will be in later today or meg me to death.

The hair hasn’t even grown in yet and I already feel like I look closer to the way I did in my early twenties.

If Turkey is that much cheaper stands to reason you could get a much, much better surgeon/technique for the same money as in the States? Yes, I’m sure spending 4 or 5k is ‘rolling the dice’ but why not spend the 14k in Turkey?

Post pics please. Did you have diffuse hair loss? Like receded temples but also thinning all throughout? That's kinda what mine is like, and so it's assuring to know that they can just place grafts everywhere to thicken the general hair up.

ill go spend $5 on a blade and shave my head and spend the other 14995$ on other things.
I cant believe people actually take the misc so seriously about "its all about the hair" they would actually do this.

And yea I had thinning all throughout the top of my head. Balding on the crown and receding hairline but not THAT bad. Glad I got it done though.
