People who so retarded to focus on deaths are as retarded as the other people who focus on deaths.

Its not difficult.

Minimize risks, Take basic precautions.

My friend got it, pretty healthy, won't die from it but is out for an extended period of time, which can severely impact lots of people.

If you get hospitalized for it, then you have an even longer time you cant work. High hospital costs. And possible long term health effects
Basic precautions do not mean a mandatory vaccine that was developed in +/- 8 months.

Sounds like you and your friend aren’t that healthy to be that effected by Covid.

Maybe you two should start exercising, eating properly, and getting some sun, instead of being sedentary lowly pieces of **** shoveling Cheetos into your mouth.

its the same as with the flu, the news media bruhs and liberal/democrat SJW's are the ones pushing and pushing for dear god that covid is NOTHInG like the flu even though it is extremely similar to the flu.

The actual flu, not a cold that you said is "the flu"

when people actually get influenza it ****ing sucks, it takes weeks to get over, you feel like youre dying etc...

I am extremely convinced most of the people testing positive for covid actually have the flu or common cold and the testing is flawed and showing false positives as covid when its actually the flu/cold. The testing for covid is SO new and it was so rushed its likely this has happened not even to mention if it was done by design to create more false positives.

yes i can refute your supposition and calculations. you took the lowest %, made up a ratio and went with it.

your own article says almost 38% infection rate among spouses. i would have to assume most of those people took some form of care in trying not to get covid before they were infected.

now imagine how rampant this thing would be if nobody gave a chit and treated it like the cold, which is how i assume you see this.

so my point is, what about symptomatic cases? going by the anti-covid mindset of some miscers, they should just be able to go about their business anyway. what then? should covid positive people be allowed to walk around maskless in stores and eat in restaurants?

Anyhow, 304K people have died while also testing positive for the virus. George Floyd is a Covid death. People who die from unrelated causes and test positive are classified as Covid deaths. Per WHO instruction. Using PCR tests. PCR tests are merely a tool, per the creator of them never intended to on their own diagnose an illness. Yet for this pandemic that's exactly what's being done. PCR tests pick up a ton of false positives too. Giving a positive result from a different coronavirus (less dangerous common cold) happens. PCR tests detect a fragment of viral RNA, which can stay around for months after an infection is cleared from the body.

aka 80 yr olds who caught a common cold coronavirus or SARS-Cov2 in November and got over it by Thanksgiving are dying because they're 80. PCR comes back positive in mid-December. Automatically a Covid death even though there was no connection. Over 1.5 million people a year go on hospice. BRB, on hospice and days or weeks from dying. Catch a coronavirus. Die at expected time. Test positive. Automatically ruled a Covid death. Elderly person falls and has internal bleeding that causes their death. They test and discover she had this SARS virus's genetic material, but no signs of illness = still a Covid death.

Some people are dying directly from Covid. Less than half of the final tally.

people who test positive for covid should take a week from going places or until they test negative. But people who are asymptomatic and have never tested positive should be allowed to live their life as normal, including if they own a business or want to go places without putting a ****ing pointless piece of cloth over their mouth and nose.

are you proposing to jail infected people who recklessly spread covid that ends up killing a person?

why should they take a week? do you take a week until you test negative for the cold?

i get people are losing their businesses and chit. i don't want a lockdown. i want people to be careful and wear a mask.

i agree with your point on taking a week. in fact, you should take 2 weeks and test negative twice. but masks should be mandatory. it's worthless if only half the country wears it. but i believe it's worthwhile if all of us do and practice social distancing. keep stores open and restaurants open for takeout/outdoor distanced dining.

Work requires me to show up to the office, so no work from home for me

Girl has been working from home since January, she follows the “rules” by the mainstream to a T and would refuse to listen to facts, evidence or even actual statistics I have presented her, she swore I would eventually get infected and i’m a “Trumper” LMAO

she refuses to eat inside a restaurant even if people are 50 feet apart, but she’s OK with eating outside sitting riiight next to strangers “cause outside is safer” LMAO

Gets mad at me for going to the gym and living my life normally and not falling for these terrible and inconsistent “guidelines”

Turns out last week she tests positive for Covid despite “doing everything right” (Curb Your Enthusiasm Theme.mp3) I tested negative even after traveling back from Texas LMAO

LMAO i was like LMAO

The problem is with people settling for the fear factor and and listening to these “experts” without using their BRAIN for just a minute. Everything i’ve predicted came to fruition while she follows “dat dere guidelines” and she still caught it. Conclusion: Covid’s not that bad ,as predicted LMAOO

Symptomatic people should stay at home, just like if they had the flu. That is the only precaution necessary, but it still shouldn't be enforced by law.

Even people who were symptomatic, live in very close proximity and have sex with each other only passed it on 38% of the time.

I was right about asymptomatic transmission rate. My assumed IFR is reasonable. My assumed incidence of being infected unknowingly is actually probably too high but makes the result a nice round number.

Here is the study

Terrible reading comprehension skills. I didn't compare "banning cars to banning covid". I compared the concept of the government imposing mass, sweeping restrictions on driving cars beyond outlawing clearly dangerous driving behaviors to what their covid restrictions. If you're going to try acting like a wise asss in response to something you don't like hearing, at least don't make a fool of yourself by completely misunderstanding what they said and responding to/insulting what you wanted it to say. srs.

It's just an experiment to see how far fear will create submission. Thankfully around here, even the original full panic mode crowd has largely given up on complying with all the BS. Our cases are the highest they've been so far, (partly because we're rural and unimportant and didn't have access to much testing until recently), no one is wearing masks or social distancing, and even county health is fighting the state's pressure to move us up on Polis' dial.

I think all the news around the guy who "died from covid" by falling down the stairs and breaking his neck helped the scepticism a bit.

Catching COVID from a surface is like catching herpes from a surface. Just don't lick your fingers and wash your hands and you'll be fine. No one worries about getting herpes from their every day life do they? Likewise, if someone you're talking to has herpes, do you really care unless you're sticking your dick on their sore? No.

I was speaking on asymptomatic people who have tested positive, not symptomatic people or people who are asymptomatic and dont know they have covid. If you knowingly have covid and are going around without any precautions you are being a douche. If you are sick with anything contageous and go around caughing and sneezing on chit and touching things youre being a douche. Like people with strep throat who still go out in public.

The difference in things is what the current studies are showing is the transmission period. For the cold and things like strep its 2-3 days after the onset of symptoms i believe, and for covid right NOW they are saying its about a week after contracting the virus. I may be wrong on those but thats why my opinion is what it is.

Also as the other poster said none of this should be law. Theres plenty of other very contagious illnesses out there people can get that they arent enforcing them staying at home or wearing masks for.

Remember on 9/11 how big the 2,977 deaths seemed to be at the time? It was unfathomable.

Now we're splitting hairs over the potency of a virus that's killing an American every minute that passes.

Unbelieveble.

Pretty silly to compare the two.

We've also had more deaths than WW2 conflict deaths but that doesn't mean WW2 was less bad than COVID.

COVID would come and go without much fuss if we didn't scream COVID from the roof tops and impose oppressive restrictions on ourselves. Yeah some hospitals would have capacity issues and may need to transfer people but we would get past it similar to a very bad flu season.

one was the direct act of humans and a terrorist organization on the country

the other is a normal biological process of life and not aimed at anyone

its kind of funny how we choose to actively fight one natural occurring death(a virus) but ignore far greater unnatural caused deaths like heart disease and lung cancer.

How come its okay to take away peoples normal daily freedoms(leaving the house, wearing a mask in public, closing their business, not gathering with family) rather than remove someones privileged right(smoking tobacco)?

Clown ****ing world.

Unbelieveble.
For some reason comparing mostly elderly people dying from a pandemic to mostly working age people dying from a terrorist attack on American soil doesn’t quite seem apples to apples.

respectfully, i don't see your point when you consider the overall picture.

govt banning cars, as you say, due to reckless driving is not analogous to mask or distancing restrictions imposed due to covid. the latter are corrective measures imposed to mitigate outcome and does not compromise ability nor function.

the car is the reason of death, but not the cause. the cause is DUIs and thus that is "banned", not driving itself.

look, excess mortality has spiked as much as 45% during covid. that is 45% more deaths than what's within the normal expected range. the majority of those excess deaths are due to covid. you can't turn a blind eye to it anymore. we have to impose strict guidelines or figure something else out like severe punishments for those who flout the rules until we can all get vaccinated.
