I was drunk

My wife, and mother of my child, announced to me she wanted a divorce mid-January of this year after ~6 months of the marriage deteriorating. During that time, she gradually drifted away, and put less and less effort into maintIning, or even caring about the life and family we had built together. The final 3 months were particularly brutal. She was completely checked out and only cared about her phone and "friends" by then, gave zero fuks about our marriage or family time. Plus, our dog died a brutal and unexpected death due to violent freak illness, and a family cat snuck out in freezing weather never to return (almost certainly died that winter). She gave zero chits about any of that, when just a year prior that would have torn her up the same way it did me.

She moved out February 1st. I'll never forget any of it. Had her uncles over helping her haul whatever she wanted out of the house. The dudes still acted nice to me as if none of it was actually happening, which was kind of surreal to me. I was too fraugt with grief to really gaf about what they snatched beyond a few very basic items we had agreed she would leave. She took all our nicest furniture, big screen TV, and whatever else she wanted. Left behind a ton of messes, including old bs of hers she was too lazy to get rid of. I spent months cleaning up after her crap and having lived with someone who did nothing to help with maintaining the home the last 7 months she dwelled there.

Then of course lockdowns, restrictions and everyone being told to be scared starting in March. It lightened up slightly in the summer until cities and then the state started mandating masks. The new lockdowns in mid-November and semi-lockdowns to the present. 75%+ of people here are terrified maskcels in public (I comply with masks to avoid catching chit, but it's clear most ppl are closed off to significant social interaction with new ppl). So trying to meet new girls has been a complete chit show all year, with no end in sight.

The exception has been if you wanna bang online whores, that's still easy enough. But if you want anything beyond that, it's a total bitch. I don't give a fuk anymore now, though. Been over my ex for awhile and I'm done letting our dictator lockdown loving governor keep fuking with my life. Gonna start putting myself out there more regardless. Don't care about the holidays this year, because the clown already ruined them anyway.

The point of my story brah, is I still wouldn't even consider taking my ex back despite how much balls this year has sucked for me without her/my family unit. Not even if she showed up at my house, got naked, offered me the bj of my life and said I could do anything I wanted to her for a week straight. Things would never be the same after what happened anyway, so I am well past dwelling on her and what we used to have together. If I was able to get over all that with an ex-wife/broken family, then you can get over some chick you've been on and off with nearly ten times who no longer wants you.
