whats your strategy to even reduce it, call them and ask nicely, i cant imagine how hard it is to get a live body on the phone. Pay someone to try to get it lowered for you? i dont think there is much they can do when youre in the wrong, you can try to convince them youre poor but they know better.

its not like OP was accused of a crime, they just want their late penalty fees and chit.
Had this same thing happen when i claimed some $300 obama credit via turbo tax.

Heard nothing for 5 years and BAM...........$6k bomb sent in the mail.

The majority of what i owed was penalties, theres no way out or amending anything

There are companies that help you settle irs debt. I had a friend that was like 25k in the hole and ended up consolidating to like 2-3k

I'm prob "netting" $150k after taxes and retirement


150k/52 weeks = $2884/week

I don’t know what chichos is as I live in the uk but those orders look nice. I’d love to move to the US but I have neither the funds or job connections to even attempt that. Would give my left nut to live there and try your guys food and national parks and chit. Srs.

I hate looking back at my failed tech sales career, know a lot of ppl that are still in the big names and are prob raking in cash like you

Then again, know some ppl who don’t hit quota and get paid practically base

When I was 25 I had about $20k


When I was 29 I had about $300k




The difference between 29 and where I am now 4 yrs later is 100% my investments. I haven't made any more money / increased my take home pay via my job since I was 28 -- it's 100% been diligently investing (ded fkn Srs)

as far as using the free time i have. . . i really don't know what i would do with it as far as a side hustle or another 'venture'.



i've been looking for muti-unit real estate opportunities in TX/OH/PA but most of the sellers have vacancy // rent-roll issues yet still want pre-COVID selling price.



i'm also sort of lazy and like reading a lot, misc'ing, watching movies, vidya, lifting etc.




i feel a little weird talking about it on the misc, but when the topic of money comes up or someone asks me about my situation on here, half the reason i mention it is so some brahs who think it's not possible to make good money realize it is very possible. i never ever in a million years thought i would make a good living or have money.
