Stocks are probably doomed if the Dems win Georgia, that will drag down crypto as well.

Peter Schiff is exposing a lot of the chit going on with the economy in general, and bitcoin. God bless him for being a force of good calling out evil.

It seems like Michael Saylorยดs life now evolves around recruiting other people to buy BTC. He reminds me of some old friends of mine that was trying to get me to buy into a pyramid scheme. And the fellow participants in the pyramid scheme would ALWAYS hype up and support the ones that could recruit the most people. Cmon guys, the parralels are obvious! You can see the bitcoin community worshipping Michael Saylor. Pathetic
Peter Schiff was right when he predicted the crash of 07-08, but he's been wrong literally every single year since then.

I used to follow him because he was one of the few (about a dozen) who are on public record predicting the 07-08 meltdown. However, I stopped after his predictions were consistently wrong.

He's been calling for economic doomsday every year - though I stopped following him after a while - and every year he is wrong.

He's been calling for Bitcoin doomsday since it become popular, and he's been consistently wrong.

There must be more credible people to present than Schiff. How many times does the man have to be wrong before people stop taking his predictions seriously?

(Note: I do actually believe that 2021 is going to be brutal economically, I just don't believe Peter Schiff is going to be right about how it plays out, and where to invest. I stopped trusting the man's analysis.)

It's more about capital gains tax proposals. The left wants to tax all that, everyone knows it.

That's the method of each and every investment prophet there is. They can't predict anything.

I mean I'm not gonna LARP about being a graphics or rendering expert. I read about it in George Gilder's book a few years back. The network is actually legitimately being used for its intended purpose. OTOY and Jules Urbach are powerhouses in this space.

I've got an unsealed Nano Ledger X, and unsealed Ledger Nano S. May as well be paper weights now because i'll be damned if I put any of my assets on the fuking things.

Between their constant firmware bugs they've been fixing, this data breach, and the fact that crypto.com, celsius, and binance all allow you to stake and easily earn percentage back on assets in a SECURE environment...

RIP ledger, doubt they'll make it through 2021.

Itยดs such a terrible mistake for humanity to choose Bitcoin as itยดs main crypto when much better things can be built. Really embarrassing.
We have the chance to choose an amazing long lasting crypto that can truly help society advance, yet we choose one of the most flawed projects out there. Really mind boggling how dumb people are.

EDIT: This will be my final post about Bitcoin. I will really try this time, but itยดs just so difficult to not chit on such a chit project. I know it gets tiring reading my posts about it. I know youยดre all tired

As far as "utility tokens" go I can't see a single reason why this isn't a slam dunk.
I'm not gonna flame you because i want everyone to make it and it appears you did basic research. However I can think of 3 reasons why it's not a slam dunk:

1 - It's such a tiiiiiiny micro niche. "Aimed at artists and studios in need of renting Graphics Processor power". Can that be a smaller group of people?

2 - Renting GPU or CPU power is not remotely new. It's called "Infrastructure As a Service". This tiny company called Amazon Web Services has 1/3 of the market share.

3 - So I'm an artist/cinematographer/special-effects animator whatever. Merp-derping on my macbook pro wanting to edit a 4k film with more GPU power. Rather than renting it off AWS on an interface i'm familiar with, using tech i'm familiar with. I'm supposed to use this new embeded blockchain tech, and renting it from miners off of tech i only kind of sort of understand?

This project sounds like one of those university contests for a computer science program where they challenge students to create a real world usecase with blockchain. Yes it's super neato that it's possible, but this is the equivalent of using a sledgehammer to kill an ant. Quite literally reinventing the wheel.

I'm not even bothering with the hardware. Can't properly secure a vanilla fuking web application, but i'm supposed to trust them with bleeding edge blockchain hardware? Yeah that's a no from me dawg.gif

David Schwartz (@JoelKatz), @Ripple's CTO, is cited in the @SEC_News case as saying that Rippleโ€™s โ€œpublicly announced strategyโ€ was to โ€œdo everything we can to maximize the price of $XRP over at least the time it takes us to sell the XRP we have.โ€
United States District Court, Southern District of NYC, Securities and Exchange Commission

vs.

Ripple Labs

RIP XRP army.

Fun to trade, but I expect it to be de-listed on quite a few American platforms. I'm sure legal council at the exchanges are talking with the heads of trading as I type.

1) U wot m8? Every TV show and movie / advertising is using some type of rendering and it's only getting bigger. Who was VR? Who was ML? Who the fook was video games?

2) Yes and the Render Network is cheaper and faster. Sky computing was always the end game. When Carmack speaks you best listen boyo

3) Users can buy credits with PayPal and RNDR tokens are paid to nodes. It's frictionless. They use it through the software they're familiar with. People are already using it. Fookin Deadmau5 has used it.

I was going to mention the Carmack tweet but you beat me to it. Rendering is a very lucrative business and theres plenty of spare GPU processing power out there that goes to waste. Its more cost efficient to sub out the work than upgrade your hardware every 3 years. Don't have a bag yet and have thought about picking it up a few times. Might pull the trigger one of these days, I just don't like being too early to stuff anymore.

At this point they can keep Ripple up and running but XRP could become worthless if its deemed a security and delisted from all the exchanges.

XRP is usually 10% of CB's overall volume, while significant, it is a price worth paying especially if it is declared a security. This suit also goes harder than the EOS/KIK with individuals being charged for starters.

If I was running one of the biggest tech IPOs of the year in an environment that sees 2x-5x on listings, I'd play it cautious but maybe that is just me.
