negging me wont change the fact you are actually losing on a trade lol.

its not a bear phase when it goes down 90% and goes sideways for 4 years. its called a pump and dump.

of course there are ways to trade pump and dumps..but u are placing all ur bets on the ****coin pumping one day if it happens at all.

hate to be the one to break ur bubble , but xrp didnt really pump in november at all. It just went back to its average price throughout 2019 and 2020..

A pump is when it goes back to its ath in terms of sats value.

I am not saying all this to vex you, But i am just stating facts.

I am a xrp bag holder myself hoping for a real pump and dump one day. i still believe xrp is one of the best pump n dump schemes in the market atm. just have to be careful not to overbet on it..

I got to give it to W1LLW, legit thought he was a lunatic buying XRP In October but it did pump again and to his credit he actually sold it at 55c.

He has re-entered at 26c so he seems to have caught the bottom but IMO more pain is ahead with further CEX delistings following Bitstamp's footsteps.

I have never been remotely bullish on XRP because of their dumping schedule and their ability to censor on-chain transactions + inflate the token supply. The rise of stablecoins has also completely obsoleted XRP. Stablecoins have all but secured the market for centralized cross-border remittance/transfer (look at the on-chain volumes for USDC and USDT). There is no reason for XRP to exist now, their market is completely gone.

xrp or eth only went up in value because BITCOIN went up in value.

if u measure the move from 10k -> 28k BITCOIN thats almost 170%+++

the value of XRPUSD pair pumped mainly cuz of the btc move.

I avoided HEX and Richard Heart because so many people trashed the project.

However, a crypto developer and youtuber I respect to said that whilst he's not sold on HEX, he says that he listens to Richard because he talks a lot of sense about the crypto market and industry...

First time really listening to him, and I'm annoyed with myself, because I normally don't let mainstream opinions deter me from listening to people. Dude is phuckin smart!

A crypto based on game theory... Interesting...

and btc has held its value while xrp has lost further value. if u zero in on that exact time yes, it will look like xrp pumped..

if you zoom out in the charts u will see how far it has fallen in value and how holding xrp is bad if u want to grow in sats.

who am i to judge though. I am not an short term alt coin trader, For me most alts are pump n dumps, the way i trade them is if they pump like 5x i will take profits or else they go to zero.

If trading alts on a shorter timeframe is profitable works for you, great.

Also sold ltc @ $317 on 12/20/2017 on almost the exact style setup of failed daily support, followed by a rally failure + resistance. The next day it sunk to $150?! Lmao I don't remember that.... Looking at these old charts has me nostalgic.

My complete exit of eth is more difficult to track due to mixed exchanges and account transactions, but I threw $9500 at it on 1/1/2018 to catch that last pump breakout pattern and exited very green on it, as well.

When daily levels aren't even being retraced to for months, then suddenly they are actually being retraced to, AND breaking.... The tide has turned.

Truth.

You have to trade alts quite differently from any of the majors.

From my perspective, to see btc come back down to $19.9k wouldn't even be a "heavy correction", but a healthy one.

I have to see trends break down in order to exit, and a retest of $19.9 is not a breakdown, even though it's way lower than where we are right now.

What do you guys think about mining? Iโ€™m getting an electrician to come tomorrow to measure the house electricity then Iโ€™ll install a breaker and new outlets in a spare room in the house. Our electricity is 220-240V and electric bill is paid by landlord xD if I can manage to stay low key great if not then electricity is cheap here ($0.045) Iโ€™ll offer to pay the bill.

Eth POS will take at least 2 years and hopefully another profitable POW will come up to fill their place.

Iโ€™ll hodl my coins in a bull run and sell when the market is going down

Iโ€™ll mine with RTX 30โ€™s for their resale value.

Its a good idea if you can get cheap GPUs, I see high ETH network usage for the time being as along as the defi/casino keeps rolling which I expect it to do so in 2021.

I mine eth with 6 RX580s and it churns out about .01 eth per day. Bad time to get into mining due to a massive hardware shortage. Even old cards like my 580s are easily going for $200+ on ebay.

btc still king.
The USD, Crypto Market, Stock Market, Precious Metals Market are ALL Ponzi Schemes. BTC and ETH are also PUMP & Dumps.

The only reason they are considered not to be Securities in the USA is because they were both created by the CIA/MOSSAD&co and approved by China/Israel that both entirely control the United States.

Don't care. 180% gain on my investment. Acting like SAT gain is the be all end all is lame. Everyone (excluding pimpC) is just here to make money. I don't care how it's done. Also it def did pump against BTC for the airdrop, which is exactly when I sold. After that, you are correct BTC breaking through 20k pulled XRP and the whole market up.

Anyways. Props to whoever posted that medium article and put me on to DOT. Got a nice 20% pump off that this week. Just sold them off to accumulate more XRP at 28cents. Based off the blog post Ripple CEO posted about the SEC lawsuit, I'm expecting XRP to return to its 45~ cent trading range after discussions with the Biden administration. My guess is March/April time.

To me this is like accumulating BTC or ETH in March when they were $6,000 and $150 respectively. No chart analysis needed.

What's you view on Richard Heart and HEX?

After listening to a few of his livestreams, if I had cash to stake HEX I probably would. I don't have anything to invest anymore, until probably spring next year.

Side note: I think I'm gonna start being a touch more active in my trading of alts. Rather then just accumulating and holding till moonshots, i'm going to be doing a lot more selling after 25% to 30% pumps (Ethereum excluded).

When I rebought XRP at .25, i knew damn well it wasn't rebounding back up to 40s. I had an entire day to sell the bounce to lock in the 40% gain to high 30s but i wasn't paying attention to that swing trade aspect of it. I just saw that i scooped XRP at a great price.

In the future I think i'll take the micro pumps off of one project i like, and dump it into another project that is in a dip and wait for that one to pop. Just contemplating and adjusting out loud here.

okcoin just de-listed ripple

https://blog.okcoin.com/2020/12/28/s...its-on-okcoin/

edit: this is just the US arm of okcoin, not the okex futures exchange where all the asians play.

Still waiting to see if Coinbase de-lists. Would not be surprised to see that decision get front-run on the market.

Pretty sure Richard plans on swapping the hell out of HEX (pumpamental might be the actual term he used) to give the illusion HEX has a high marketcap. I'd steer clear unless you know what your game plan is.

edit: this is just the US arm of okcoin, not the okex futures exchange where all the asians play.

Still waiting to see if Coinbase de-lists. Would not be surprised to see that decision get front-run on the market.
I don't think coinbase has the balls. Actually, I don't think that's the right way to put it. I'm sure they have the balls to delist it, but from a macro business strategy standpoint it wouldn't be wise.

Keeping in mind it's an active lawsuit with no ruling passed down. They would set themselves up (and likely the industry as a whole) to be listing and delisting coins at the whims of the SEC or civil lawsuits. That could get real messy, real fast. Not sure they want to set that as the standard but I guess we'll see.

If coinbase does delists, the market is likely looking at a plunge to .20 with an hour or two of it touch .18 and .19cents. Eitherway, not a difference big enough to make me jump ship. Too many players in the european and asian markets.

I've had the nostalgia boys, and I have been rereading summer 2017 threads.

It's funny how we keep living the same things and we never learn from them, including myself. (check thread number 3 around November for the lolz)

I just want to say, I really enjoyed that period, and hoping we can relive it soon and each and everyone of us makes it. ( We can argue that I have already somehow made it, but now aiming bigger)
I remember heading back to my work desk just to log in on misc finance for those crypto threads.

Whatever happens next, I love you bros.

Not just precedent, but look at the volume on XRP. Significant revenue for Coinbase.

I noticed that, but didn't want to mention it because Bitstamp halted XRP trading. While half the volume of coinbase, a still really large chunk of volume indeed.
