Sad but true. It’s getting harder to find real info on anything. Every site now is some paid for blogger or 20 year old millennial sloot that doesn’t know chit from shovel. When I want to find info or reviews on things I search “what I want + Reddit”.
Forums are all but dead. Even on duckduckgo searching only brings up mainstream sites

I remember I could go on the internet and just get lost for hours. Everyday it was so many new interesting things.

Now I get bored after maximum 1 minute of "checking everything".... Everything just feels connected now.

The only thing I can browse for hours is the Misc 100% srs while perhaps popping a YouTube video on the side of some interesting thing. Misc and YT is the only thing I use now.

If the MISC dies, we all die

Google is **** as OP says, and all platforms online as I said seem connected and push each other, i cant explain it atm

Tbh this is not a very negative thing for me personally since it just means I will be cutting internet usage more and more as I get older, meaning more time on other real things. However, censorship, agenda pushing, etc. are extremely effective social conditioning tools

I go searching for things that I am trying learn and all I encounter is freaking advertising sell me crap. The internet has become one giant commercial. Big tech killed it in their thirst for money and power.

Most of what you see online is so fake now. Everyone saying what they're supposed to say afraid to step out of line and get targeted. Everyone wants to become an influencer and use twitter, youtube, twitch, etc to try and build a following. Just shills and fake reactions everywhere.

There's some stuff that's good about it though. Being able to watch or listen to anything that's ever come out for free is a game changer. Any question you have has probably been asked and answered a hundred times. If you can separate the false promise clickbait from legit information you can learn almost anything for free and more efficiently than pre-internet.

The one environment where people got to be somewhat free and be somewhat safe with their true thoughts is now being censored, monitored and crushed. It's a pain in the ass to find things that would take only a few seconds 4 years ago. Chit's clogged up with censorship, big corp adverts and online bro marketers. We need new sites to challenge the googles and youtubes, because it will only get worse.

Online chatrooms like discord where you can connect with insiders seems the way forward, but that has it's own issues.
