I remember back in the day, my buddy had like 20 of them which we used to buy fun stuff on silkroad

I just thought it was some kind of virtual currency which i guess it is.

I just curious, it was CLEARLY designed by someone right? It didn't just magically appear. Cant who ever invented bitcoin just fk around with it as much as they want?

Who made it, where does it come from? Is it software? if its just written software, couldn't one or several people hold the king to the kingdom?

(NO HATE, I really am curious, i don't have a race in this horse)

Lol at crypto. No one has any idea why the price moves like it does day to day and if you try and cash out your chitcoins for real ones, you lose up to 20% because everywhere the deals in it isn't retarded and sets the spread to avoid getting azzfuked on the retarded levels of volatility.
If you can't handle me when I'm incel, you don't deserve me when I'm chad

It’s open source. We know what the code is. Creator is dead or is an alien or cia

It’s programmable money. Taproot update is coming. For private transaction and more.

Just think of btc as land in a new discovered continent. There’s a limited amount of land. Land is Constsnrly being bought up. Lots of people on the old land chit talk that no ones going to move there and will die. In reslity decades after billions of people will be moving there and the people who own entire acres will be rich af. Same chit with btc. 21m coins. Never more made. Billions of people trying to own. Wont happen so anyone who owns 1 will be set for ever.

Satoshi Nakamoto is the alias of the person or persons who printed the paper that gave birth to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Nakamoto gave us the paper and then disappeared. (Craig Wright claims to be Nakamoto, but he's a bullchitter.)

Blockchains like Bitcoin are on distributed networks, so it requires a consensus of nodes - computers running the program - to change things. Distributed networks have no single computer controlling the network, the computers running the problem in unison maintain the network.

The code is also open source.

There can be bugs in blockchain networks, and that's why the community as a whole needs to monitor and maintain it's security.

The only way to control a blockchain network is to control the majority of the computers maintaining the network, or to own a majority of the currency/token. (It depends on the blockchain.)

If there is a disagreement amongst the people who maintain the network, then the minority can choose to 'hard fork' (like a fork in the road) the blockchain creating a new version of it. This is what happened with Bitcoin Cash, which is a fork of Bitcoin.

I bought at $3k, a few years ago, before it hit $10k. People have been talking about BTC as a currency for many years now, it still hasn't changed.

Sure, maybe in 5+ years once it's all mined up. But that's a huge gamble on something like BTC, which is EASILY replicated and not backed by ANYTHING.

To bet BTC is a major currency in 5+ years is an extremely silly bet for above reasons.

Great. Don’t buy in then. No ones buying chit coins. Btc has name recognition. Until institutions start buying eth or another coin at the level they are buying btc then we can talk but right now it’s strongly looking like btc will take over the globe. There isn’t even a big risk anymore.
And fiat is not backed by anything including gold so what is your argument there?

Give it up because covid is pushing paper money out the door fast. You have maybe 5 years max of paper fiat.

The replications already exist, and they don't do as well.

Fiat money is backed by government enforcement and nation trade, but what could be seen as the 'backing' of Bitcoin is that simply people treat as an asset with value.

Like Gold, Gold has no 'backing' other than it's been used throughout centuries as currency. It's valued economically simply because it's valued economically.

One thing I've learned is that markets/economics is in large part based in psychology and game theory, as well as logistics.

Fiat is backed by the government. Created by government.

BTC was created by literally an anonymous guy and can be replicated at any moment (and is constantly happening).

Lol @ thinking such a coin will take over the globe.. keep dreaming buddy lol. Enjoy the upcoming crash.

Both of your posts to me is full of 'wishful thinking'. seriously.

Name recognition? Just lol. That's CONSTANTLY changing with EVERYTHING in life. Point is, there is nothing UNIQUE about BTC.

And the true powers of this world, financial institutions > governments, will not let the PEOPLE choose which currency to use. The thought is silly.

that’s false and a big misconception. Its backed by nothing. And because they print unlimited fiat is worth 99% less and fiat is an experiment. Avg fiat lasts 45 years or so. Enjoy your fake money. And no ones buying the clones. Btc has name recognition and designed to be secure. You fgts have been saying enjoy the crash for the last decade and you will continue to do so for the rest of your life. I’m convinced it’s going to 7 then 8 figures in enoufh time.

The US dollar is not backed by anythinf. It was backed by gold until 1971 but since then it’s backed by NOTHING. You can claim the government hacks it up sure but it’s worth nothing snd value is less every year it’s fake money

They keep printing it. The value of usd is nothing. It will lose its reserve currency after the pandemic there’s no question about it. I’m not saying alt coins don’t have a place because a lot of them have good utility like eth. until big money starts pouring into alt coins then we can talk.

Enjoy your fiat thoufh. It’s worth nothing. Check this link if you want to see how muxh less money you have every year.

Btc is backed by math and computing power and ultimately an idea we believe in.

Enjoy your **** investments and going down in history as one of the fools who couldn’t see IT right before their eyes.

You can replace "Btc" with any other coin.

So, an easily replicated 'coin' and 'hope'.

No the only thing they share is they are both heavily invested in. The purpose of each is too different to compare so it doesn't make sense to do so.
