lol @ thinking ethereum wont fukin taking off in the near future

theres lots of great tech coins but the truth is this industry is heavily influenced by market hype and first movers advantage

ETH and BTC will be household names within 5 years and counting. other coins will join the list but BTC and ETH are here to stay

It needs some kind of consolidation, NOTHING ever just keeps going up. It doesn't even have to correct tbh, just freaking consolidate for more than a day.

Money's gotta go somewhere for yield. Bonds yield 0 dollars. P/E ratios for the right stonks are at obscene levels. Real estate is supply constrained and CAP rates are in the chitter. Gold is for boomers. If whales cash out of BTC, where are they gonna put it for a better bet?

I'm not getting those vibes at all. This feels more like when BTC was on it's rise to 10k and everyone was in disbelief constantly trying to time the top. These percentage moves are nothing compared to 2016 - 2017. The top is when everyone starts fomoing into alts.

No. PoW is better than PoS/DAG/Block-lattice for SOVs. Every coin has a cult. In my experience Eth maxis are infinitely worse than BTC maxis.

Lmfao at store of value being a meme. Everything about BTC points it to being the hardest money (i.e. best SOV) there is in the cryptoasset basket. We have probably $20b of insitutional funding with more to come in Bitcoin. This doesn't happen because it is 'the first blockchain'. Its a genuine SOV that has proven its security, value prop, unassailable monetary policy over 11 years.

What you see as unchanging old tech is a feature not a bug for hard money. When I choose a medium to store wealth, I want it unchanged and predictable.

If you are interested (i suspect not), the articles below are a good primer on the history of money/sovs and why BTC meets the criteria.

You don't need to take it from me though, you can take it from these billionaires (i.e. people who know how to make money) that choose to store a portion of their wealth in BTC.

Paul ****ing Tudor Jones investment thesis:

Wences Casares investment thesis:

Stanley Druckenmiller (legendary billionaire hedge fund manager flipping his position on BTC):

Ricardo Salinas Pliego (worth $12.8b putting 10% in BTC as a hedge)

Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (publically traded ETF) now holds $15b in BTC:
https://seekingalpha.com/article/439...es-new-heights

I can promise you with 100% satisfaction guarantee that Ethereum will have the same story in 10 years since it was the first smart contract blockchain, the most used smart contract blockchain by an enormous amount, and the most famous smart contract blockchain.

There is mounting evidence to suggest otherwise:
- see compound chain moving off ethereum
- see polkadot (who have yet to deploy XPCM and parachains) skyrocket to number 5.
- see serum traction on solana
- see Rune + Terra money traction on Cosmos ICM.
- see the blockchain agnostic erc-20 layer exceed the total valuation of ETH (validation of the thin protocol thesis********************/@ivan.klianev/pre...e-11144399c288)

The fee model is designed for there to be multiple competitors. I literally don't give a **** who runs the base layer when I use Uniswap, all want is to be able to swap my tokens like any rational end-users. 99% of people don't know all the tech/hardware used in a wire transfer, why would a user care here.

Even if a person believes that POW is superior to POS, then there are better POW cryptos than Bitcoin. Like BCH, BSV, Monero, Smartcash, and Zcash.

Bitcoin has had 2 inflation bugs, and is significantly slower and more expensive that those other cryptos I just mentioned. Bitcoin honestly is trash tech compared to those, but it's superiority lies in it's brand recognition and it's liqudity.

If you've ever used Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin you'll know exactly what I'm talking about when I say it's faster and cheaper.

Monero is private whereas Bitcoin is an open ledger.

IMO Bitcoin's best use is 'digital gold', IMO it's gone away from it's original intended purpose. The developers kept the blocksize small which prevented scaling, which created forks like Bitcoin Cash and BSV.

It will go back down, just need some negative news to trigger the dump. Believe me, negative news is coming soon.
ETH and Btc are both a mess, but I hold ETH since at least it has utility and potential, but it´s gonna be a mess to upgrade.

DOGE is worth over a billion dollars, you know we are in a bubble. We still have a bear market in front of us imo. Everything is way overvalued. This crazy casino can´t go on forever. The coming regulations will bring the market back down to reality.

Lol at Litecoin being worth 10 billion. Completely 100% irrational. #Bubble

Doubtful. Who knows when it will pop. Bunch of bearish events coming over the next few months.
What really makes me sick to my stomach is how mainstream media is in on the pyramid scheme, pushing bitcoin/crypto news all over the place. Certian media want normies to buy so the pyrmid can grow, so they can eventually be dumped on. Disgusting behavior by crypto influencers and media.

ETH is clogged up with scam after scam. So much worthless chit has been developed on top of ETH.

Yes, of course. But it seems like some folks in here forget about that. People talking about a new paradigm

Just read a bitcoin maxi say that bitcoin mainly function as a store of value. What a lie. It mainly functions as a speculative pump and dump.

All this chart proves is that it's extremely volatile. But until now, no hodler has lost any value, ever. Sounds like a pretty good store of value to me.

If BTC continues to break ATH, then I'm bullish.

But rn, it looks like late 2017.

BTC is the leading indicator.
