Misc isn't gonna like this plan. It doesn't give nearly enough to elite businesses and the one percent. Pretty well established that around these parts individual Americans are held to a higher standard than multi billion dollar businesses since miscers don't mind when they get bailouts and bonus their C team.

Imagine being some minimum wagecel going from $7.25 —-> $15/hr:

More jobs will be replaced by AI and machines, which I'm not necessarily against, but I'm not sure how or where those people working these low-end jobs will end up. McDonald's in the Netherlands is mostly touch screen and it works well, so most likely a lot more jobs will become eliminated. Studies in Washington have showed this when they enacted a higher minimum wage (more AI, more jobs lost). It's just common sense in a capitalistic market.

Saw a great quote in the WSJ from Pelosi saying she's looking forward to working together to get this passed, but where was your rhetoric about this 6 months ago. Such a joke...

Devaluation of the dollar is not a bad thing, up to a point. When the value of the dollar is reduced, trading becomes more affordable for other countries. I don't think we're at a brink of a dollar collapse yet...but we're heading that way, more mortgages are going into default, student debt is rising to unprecedented levels, and car loan debt is increasing and financed for longer terms.

We're not headed down a great path and will most likely divide the haves and have nots even further. Obviously if you're already poor, you're more than likely going to stay that way with the increase of debt obligations. I think the only reason we haven't completely collapsed is because successful parents actually take care of their kids financially these days, which I guess is good, but it's also enabling to a problem. When this happens you might not seek better jobs and salary that you would otherwise require without the parental funding.
