Yea been to one, but it went out of service like 10 years before I went there.

But srs, never did. Some people I know from the gym did tho and a few of my neighbors. No crazy stories, didn't really talk about it. They just mentioned they did a few years because of "things".

Been to both, jail and prison.

Riker's Island, did 10 months while awaiting trial.

Then, after convicted, transfered to Mohawk Correctional Facility to serve the rest of my 6 year and 2 months sentence.

They hit me with the max, 1st degree which is 25 years, lawyer got it knocked down to 3rd degree armed robbery.

So I was then transferred from Riker's to Mohawk to serve the rest of my sentence. It's a medium security prison, so we had an little more freedom so to speak. One thing for sure is you learn respect is HUGE in prison. Plus the inmates already know what you did before you even show up, so trying to front like a gangsta isnt gonna work. Respect, inmate chain of command and the 2 things that if you ignore will get you beat down quick.

You got alpha guys and mentally fuked up people all together so any little thing can make shyt pop off.

7 years is a big stretch. What was the biggest difference you saw when you got out? I had a friend who did time in the early 00s and came out in 2015 and he was in shock about smart phones lmao

Well I got locked up from 94-01from no internet to what we had in early 00s was impressive.

Thanks for posting. That must have been a tough stretch for you. I'm sure you appreciate life outside now? I can imagine what a shock that must have been, to emerge from prison right in the post-tech world.

Bro, every day I'm so thankful for my life outside now. Even when I'm having a bad day, it's still not as bad as it used to be.

When the lockdowns hit and people were freaking out, I just lol'ed at them. I wish I was locked up with all the luxuries that we have lol.

But fr tho, the hardest part on the outside was not having a schedule and people telling me when to wake up, shower, eat, rec, etc...
