That's what I did at 23. Only regret is not buying bigger, like a triplex of quadruplex.

Currently about $50k in my retirement.

My dilemma is I have $80k cash just sitting and I do want to buy a house but debating if I should invest more aggressively with my savings/disposable income.

Would you brahs leave an emergency fund of $15kish and take the rest and all future disposable income and invest aggressively? I feel like I’m missing out on a lot of gains
Take the $80k and buy a house with it. I own a 2BR house and rent out the other room to my friend for ~$950/mo - you can get a great return if you rent out the same property that you live in.

Maybe I'm just a risky person, but I don't see a need to have $15k in cash sitting around, knowing that you can liquidate any of your stock positions at any time to free up emergency capital when needed (with the risk that you may sell in a down market... but its more complicated than that, and the benefits outweigh the risks with this strategy to me). I personally think stocks are liquid enough to serve as an emergency reserve... at least, the gains outweigh the risk of having to sell for a lower price when the markets down. Plus if you have many positions, its likely that you'll be able to sell one for a loss (so you can collect 1/3 of that back on taxes). For what its worth, I usually keep $5-10k in cash and most of my net worth is in stocks, I just don't want to hold any more trash (I mean cash) than that

Yeah I will definitely, 10% of the rent is worth the possible headaches. I really want to get a property to make an AirBNB though, thinking near Disney and letting my wife decorate the house Disney themed. I'd get a co-host to help manage this and just try to break even. I'd like something so my parents and other family can come stay in it for free to visit or if I leave the area I would have something to go to.

This plan might go through this year I have enough funds to go get one right now but was gonna work a few more months to build some more capital while I do some more research.

What a strange time when failing bankrupt companies are making people the most money lol.

I'm still thinking about buying some AMC in case it goes up to even $5 or so. After what happened to GME, it could be the next one if WSB retards start buying it.

Edit: phuk it. Just bought some shares.

Only way CCIV goes down if they issue press release merger is off.

Otherwise nothing suggests this will be $12 stock.

.........

All that insane PLTR call flow now makes sense.

There was crazy action last Friday before close buying PLTR calls expiring 1/22

Its showing me "INFO" under Cost and gain % for some stocks such as CCIV. Any ideas how to fix that up?

Sold a $56 NIO put weekly for like $126, I don’t see how people are selling 45dte in this market, I’m too worried things will fall off a cliff soon.

Plus weekly is better premium so I don’t understand why people prefer 45dte, I know it gives you more time for the option to expire worthless but does that even matter if you plan to wheel anyway?

Got in at $5.71, bought more a day later at a total cost average of $7.79. I'm in for the long haul though, I don't plan on cashing out any time soon with the research and developments they're doing. I'm really big on biotech right now.
