I personally don't find it as offensive or anything negative about it. It's for conversations and people are curious. sometimes I just don't kno how to respond when I lie about it. One time I met an old high school buddy and he asked. I said I do printing. And chit back fired when he got interested and said I used to own a small printing company lol. Tried playing it off and he asked me these printing questions I had no idea about lol. Ended up telling him the truth. I think people judge u more on what u drive and what u have than what job u have.

Normally people ask what "what do you do for a living" to segue into a conversation and to get to know wtf you're spending your time doing on a weekly basis. I don't think it's a big deal.

This. You spend the majority of your day at work anyway, it's important information to gauge I feel like. I think why miscers feel so insecure about it is because they typically have a "boring" job like everyone else does.

If she asks what I do or what my job in the hospital is right off the bat, I immediately become disinterested (srs) and will just ghost them.

It's one thing when it comes naturally (or appears so), but sometimes you just know the bich has a certain standard

Now here's the thing. I'm an adult and I know having a good job is icing on the cake, and I actually expect my future partner to have a good job as well. But just something about that being the first thing they're curious about really irks me the wrong way for some reason

Have probably missed out on a few good ones because of this but there are plenty of biches in the sea...

I give people the benefit of doubt when they ask me what I do. I honestly don't even give people an answer they like since I love to dumb down what I do to "oh it's boring, I'm basically doing customer service all day. Tell me what you do. I hope it's more exciting" (I don't mention that I own my own business) There are tactful ways anyone can answer that without having an aneurysm.

Depends on the hospital and floor. One of the hospitals I work out, regular floor, nurses straight up show titty cleavage daily, thongs showing out the back of their pants.
