Maybe they should pull up their boot straps, look the share holders in the eye and give them a firm handshake. It’s that easy right?

Gamestop is a blockbuster of gaming even if you look at the newest generation consoles both of them come with a digital-only version which gamestop will make 0 money from.
Even using Gamestop as an outlier you look at companies like Tesla there is no way Tesla should be worth what it is right now and even Elon Musk has said the stock is overpriced.
You can also look at Uber stock and you have to laugh at its valuation considering the company has been losing money for years with no profits in sight. They just sold their self driving car section too so there is 0 chance they will reduce their operating cost in the near future..

Guess I'm a meme investor now. Put $1k into AMC.
I've already passed on Tesla, Palantir, and Gamestop (and all the SPACs which I don't understand) over the last 5 months because I thought this stuff was nonsense.
I can eat a $1k loss, so no biggie. But maybe it'll roll into Virgin and Bed, Bath and Beyond and I can turn it into a fun week long event. Honestly this feels like a once in a lifetime thing where main street takes on Wall Street, and I don't think it will last.

I’m saying what if they did the opposite of that to hedge against their short position

Is it time for a short (long put, feb maturity) on GME ? Sure it can still go up from here (who knows ?) but eventually in 4 weeks it will have to come down
