I do find it kind of weird actually that there hasn't been a black bachelor

The main guy seems ok enough but going with a blachelor wasn't the greatest idea.

-Only a small portion of the regular viewers are black.
-Not everyone is into interracial dating like the media keeps trying to push. Its a very small percent of the female population.
-The cast is very racially diverse. But the white chicks are the hottest (and maybe a Latina). Some of those girls are legit 6/10s at best.
-He's going to drop the black chicks and the Asians and only be left with the hottest white girls and maybe the one that looks like a Latina.

^Because of those reasons some of the black female viewers will be upset/defensive.


Also the dude is kind of boring. He seems like a nice guy. Not someone oozing with charisma that's going to get these females going.

What were ratings trending before this season? Lots of shows have had "low" ratings meaning people are cutting cable, finding other ways to see the same shows.

I think the issue is that they made a huge deal out of having “the first black Bachelor” only to cast a guy who’s half black half white and a lot of times looks like an Indian nerd (in the face)

If this was their focus, they needed to double down on it and get a jet black man from like Senegal or something, instead of half-assing it

That said, in my opinion it’s not any better or worse than any other season so far, and he’s not bad at all

He is good looking too, however that show is cringe AF. Maybe I just haven't given it a chance I couldn't even get through the 1st episode. But all of my asian gfs swear that I need to stick it through while the characters build. One of my white gfs compared it to asian kardasians and then I was really turned off to watching it.

Let’s be honest, tv ratings are dropping across the board... even bored housewives are finding other bs to watch.

That’s the reason why they try to play these “change ups” i.e. black bachelor/bachelorette, gay/trans representation, etc etc

Rock and a hard place between the two choices we have been presented, which is why many of us vote "The lesser of two evils."
